Just picked up a 2015 DCSB 4x4 TRD Off Road and put a Snugtop Rebel on it. Time to take off the front mud flaps off and get it dirty this weekend.

Nice truck. I got the exact same one. But why take off mudflaps???? I have been off-roading every weekend since I got my off road and those mudflaps catch all the mud and cow shit. I find myself washing mudflaps and front bumper only everytime I am out there off roading.

I understand people wanting to get rid of mud flaps for mall crawlers and highway trucks, but not for true off roading. Correct me if Im wrong.

Anyways let me know how yours performed. I taken mine out four times hunting and off roading in some really muddy and deep water trails and only used 4x4 a couple of times.

And before you know it, people will see you driving on the highway with your front flaps bent back against the cab (and possibly bouncing against the paint). I see this all the time. The stiff front flaps (longer on the '06 or '07+) will catch on rocks and such (even speed bumps). They crack but you may not notice it unless you look closely or try to bend them back by hand. Once cracked, the wind from driving on the highway will bend them back. Also, the first time you back into a rock with the tire pinching the flap between it and the tire...snap!

I have been lurking TW for a little over six months now since I bought my Tacoma mid last year. After seeing everyone's awesome rigs in this thread, I finally gave in. My first official post!
