Im thinking about adding the Toyota badge (from http://www.ecgfabrication.com/white-toyota-badge/) But I have two lights behind the grille currently (see pic). Im trying to decide if it would look ok with the lights where they are, or if I should try to move the lights laterally as far as possible to the outer edges of the grille, in order to have the badge sit in between them, instead of over top of them. To move them I would have to drill new mount holes but I think otherwise its a pretty straightforward job.

Alright so finally had a couple beers and got around to mounting the lights along with the Satoshi grille and Toyota badge. It looks pretty good but I think I might smoke the lights when I have some time to make it look a little better. Anyways this was the process. So I already had the lights mounted before (as in the pic above) for those interested in that original mount check out this thread done by the previous owner https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...ion-mount-behind-satoshi-how-to-w-pics.79832/

so I drilled new holes in the angle iron used to mount them so that the lights were wider in the grille. Then because the transmission cooler was in the way I had to also raise the bar by about 3/4" so I drilled new holes in the mounts too. Pretty easy overall.

So those mounts go on the far right and left of the bar in this pic. You can see the two screw holes where they mount.

Hold the badge up and eye ball the look to get an idea. You do have that option to drill some new holes. It would probably look cleaner with the lights positioned out a bit.You also have the option to take the badge off and move the lights back to the original positioned holes if you for some reason don't care to have the badge on anymore.Either way it's going to look good!

Ya i think I'm gonna try moving the lights tomorrow (badge is ordered and hopefully on its way) ... I think they might look better further out even without the badge. Well see.

i think the satoshi looks better without the badge if you have the lights behind the grill.

Ya. After spending a couple hours drilling and re-mounting the lights and the mounting bar behind the grille in order to get the look I wanted (pics if wanted) .... Put the grille back on without the lights and now I think I'm going to leave it like that. I think it looks better (and will look even better when the badge gets here)

Alright finally got the badge mounted on and put up. I trimmed the pegs in the back so that they were thinner and fit through the grill (got lucky that the grille holes were the right distance apart) and then taped it on with mounting tape. Looks pretty damn good i think.
