    That's where I cut mine right as it bends but was suggested it was too close to spare and would heat up and go boom

    I ran it with the stock size a 285/75/16 and a 33/12.5 and never had issues. Maybe if you sat and idled for hours and hours it might get to hot but other than that I don't see a problem.

    No I don't have the stock 16 but I do have a fj spare which is 17 I might swap it out with my try that first before I install the turn down I bought and make sure it fits
