You should have! We should hit the trails this summer as well.

    Thanks, dig your truck too.

Got all my skids back on after a few coats of paint. They are in pretty rough shape, I did what I could to beat them back in shape, but I fear next time them come off they may not make it back on. I Bought a this set, but now I feel I could build a much sturdier set myself, we will see how they fair this summer.

Also wrapped my crossover with header fiberglass wrap to get rid of the rattle of the pipe on the skid that drove me insane last summer. I'll reroute it eventually, but for now this should do.

Also measured and ordered limit straps and hardware, as well as some spacers for the bumps.

    Nice runner.
How do you have time to go to all these places?
By the way, you live in a beautiful state.
I went there a couple years ago and did the cinnamon trail.
Over 14K feet. It was great.

Thanks Marty. Most of my trips in Colorado are within a few hours drive, and can easily be done over a weekend or as day trips. Out of state trips take a bit more vacation time, but that is why I work hard in the winter, and make the most of summer!

I have not done Cinnamon Pass or any of the Alpine Loop trails, but those are on the agenda for this year, probably mid-July. Check back for pics.

Alpine specifically, or in general? We are thinking mid July for alpine.

More in general. Looking like I'll have a busy summer work wise but I want to carve out some time to get down to your neck of the woods.

    X2!

Good man, just been wrenching a bunch getting ready for the summer. I could certainly be talked into heading up north to see Marc's stomping grounds.

Be real sweet if you guys could make it up here again, and this time we could actually do some wheeling together!!! You guys saw some of the best of my/our (lander area) stomping grounds on Shoshone lake road and Christina lake road  There's lots of other stuff to see though, including the oregon trail which you can drive good chunks of as well as some cool old and current uranium mine areas with open pits still (100' headwalls still un-reclaimed!)

Welcome! Yes, floated from Creede down to South Fork over the weekend, CRUSHED it fishing streamers.

Definitely! Any other trails similar to those in the area, even on the other side of the Winds?

Nice! Are you planning on gusseting the hinge mount at all? Is that nut nylock? Those are... "fun" to get tightened down :D

What are your plans for a latch?

This is what I did for the latch on my Jeep's tire carrier - I should have done like a 5/8" pin, the 1" was overkill, but it was the stiffest latch I've done yet, really reliable. I was happy with it.
