What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Washed and waxed. I've done this twice in a little over 3 years

 

Mounted my phone with the Ram mounting gear. Thought about this for sometime after repeatedly being disappointed with other mounts. Works well so far, might try a shorter arm. Threadlocked it and added some epoxy to the backside to help distribute the pressure.

 

New shoes and socks! 16x8.5" bronze level 8 guardians wrapped in 285/75 Goodyear duratracs! Only thing I'm not too excited about is the fake carbon fiber center caps...

Don't know if you have a True Value or something around, but I use these. Home Depot doesn't carry them (at least not he one by me) but True Value has them for $1.39 each. I believe it was the 3/8" size that fits the best. slides right in and doesnt wiggle once tightened down. I put eye bolts through them and use them for tie downs. They're extruded U-nuts - i've also seen them called speed nuts.

Thanks! Yep I have an OME lift, approx 3" up front and a 1.5" AAL in the rear, I need to cab mount chop though, it rubs pretty good in reverse as well as left hand turns.

 

Removed back seats. They just got in the way of storage, and the black compartments behind the seats are plain stupid.

Thanks. I plan on retrofitting the area much better with a level platform and u-track for tie-downs. Also, the Powertank and fire extinguisher will eventually end up in the bed. But this will suffice for now.

Everyone's meeting at 0900 at the staging area. I'll probably leave my house around 7am, gas up at 138 and then be there by 9.

I also moved my fuel can from my Ford to the Tacoma. I didn't have time to buy t-slots and fabricate something permanent. So...don't tell anyone...but I use plywood and bolts. Most definitely temporary.



Also, picked up a Midland 75-822 and Wilson Little Wil antenna.

Did you pull the little mud flaps at the front, of the front wheels?
