Finally finished my relentless DIY kit, gotta do a little touch up on the tubes and where I had the chains looped through the front to hold it but in happy, it needs a winch now.

This happened last night. Hopefully this doesn't result in a good ol' insurance headache.

I posted some photos and parts info on my tundra upgrade in someone else's brake upgrade thread. If we have an official sticky on the Tundra upgrade let me know and I will post it there.

Yet another Tacoma brake upgrade to Tundra

Just got my steering rack in the mail from rack doctor.

The paint is chipping in a few places but it still looks ok. One of the pressure lines is a little dented up but i think it will be fine.. the one thing I'm a little concerned about is this bushing, its kind of not fully all the way in only on the half that is circled with red, does anyone think this will be a problem?

I would just go ahead and replace all the bushings with ES ones regardless if the bushing is fine or not.

Oh I have ES bushing on the rack that's in the truck right now, wasn't sure if these were one of those or not, thanks for clearing that up. Bout to go install it in half an hour or so.

Anybody have a recommendation on a good set of brake line wrenches? I bought a set for my brake job and they were a complete disappointment. They were lose and started rounding off and only a 10mm Craftsman open end wrench saved me.

I purchased my brake line wrenches at Harbor Freight and it worked just fine.

    ^^^ this.

but I'd be more concerened about the half-assed insufficient packaging and how many times that thing got dropped in transit. I'd be worried about bent/cracked fittings and leaks. That's pathetic.

Do they actually show up packaged in just cardboard? Not attached to a board or something?

Been awhile since I posted here! But I put in Spectra HID conversion kit with 6k bulbs, I CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW THE RAIN IS GONE!! So bright, best $85 I spent on her so far!

Got some cheap $19.99 per pair of switchback CK style bulbs from ebay, I'm actually happy with them, lasted 2 weeks so far in very bumpy roads and wet weather (tho had to electrical tape them in some, damn vibrations and how long and heavy they are!). I can actually use them as mini-fog lights kinda when I'm cruising the woods at nights!
