I imagine you warranty is up,SEARCH get the part # for the springs and order them.It has been on here countless times, also dealers that have done it and the hoops people had to jump through to get it done.

How about the '08 guys? are people getting this done still or is it a hassle? I called up a dealer today and tried to get a feel for how they are handling it all before I told him it was an '08. After I said it was an '08, he said they could not do it, but then I explained how it has the same parts and three leaf springs like the '05-'07. He said he would take all my information and put it in the computer and see if toyota would give him permission to order parts and do it. I said I did not have all the information at the time and would call back. What do you guys reccommend I do? Should I call back with the information and see what happens or call toyota directly and see what they say? I don't see why the would not do it unless they did change something on the '08 but from what it looks like I have the same suspension as my friends '06. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just got my '08 Sport done last week. I just explained my bottoming out and that it was built with the 3 leaf spring like they're changing out on the '05-'07s My service manager at Empire Toyota in Oneonta, NY was nice enough to call the regional service people, and they OK'd it. Three days later the parts came in and the next day they did it.

BTW, I explained that I didn't like the mushy feeling brakes, and how long it took to stop. Called him today to ask what he did to the brakes. They work great now. He said he did nothing but the TSB, and that the new springs effect the braking for the better.

I love the way the truck handles curves now, instead of that "drifting" feeling I had before. I hitched up my 19ft boat with a tongue weight of about 260 lbs. and the truck squatted only about 3/4". Happier camper now. Good luck.

SR5 TRD Off-Road,...is there another kind?
TRD Cat-Back, TRD CAI, Taco hood protector, Taco tube steps, Taco front skid plate, Billet grill (upper & lower), window visors front & rear, Pro Comp ES3000 rear shocks, level w/2" lift to front and 1" to rear.
I've not had the opportunity to load anything "heavy" per-se in the back of my truck; hence, I don't know if my tail end is subject to bottoming out. My truck is also lifted about 2". So there again I don't know if I'd have the problem if I was hauling a heavy load. Is this bottoming out problem w/all Tacoma 05-07 or what? I called a dealer. I was asked if my truck was bottoming out. I said, "No,"...end conversation. I think I have a pretty solid ride, but I'd be jealous if there's something [free] out there that'll make it better. Am I not privvy because I lifted mine therefor excluding me from the TSB? Has anyone had the TSB done even though they've a lift on their Tacoma and it wasn't bottoming out?

My dealer is going to the the TSB, I have a 08 TRD Sport!
So I guess it will be OK in your part to go back and demand this upgrade!!

My truck wasnt "bottoming out". I had a lift, and the ride was horrible. I told the dealer that the ride was bad, and hey said, "well, you have a lift", to which I replied, "No, the lift would not affect it this bad". They replaced the springs for me.

Your not "screwed" per se, as you can always get a set of Deavers or Alcans. :)
