Awful, terrible and horrible. Worst decision I made with my '93 and even worse decision I made with my 2013.

Yep...atrocious. Just like the BFGs and the light bars I had on both trucks, as well as the Blue Sea Fuse panels.

I just wish they made them to fit the 12-15 trucks better. Cutting the bumper cover to make a trim filler piece seems bubba to me even though I won't keep the bumper cover.

Are they truly bolt on for the 2011's? I've heard conflicting reports of cutting/drilling...

Check my pic on the previous page. Whoever installed mine did not cut bumper, so no trim piece. Hard to tell unless you are really looking...

Love mine. The deer I hit while going 55 probably appreciated the clean fast death as well. As you can see in the pic the license plate saw some severe damage... image.jpg

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
I did not have to trim, cut, or modify any parts to fit it on my 2011. I think it is one of the more versatile bumpers out there - tons of options for mounting lights and accessories, plus with the way the winch mounts in there (feet forward) it reduces the amount of shear stress that is placed on the mounting bolts. It is definitely a stout bumper.

I just added some Rigid SRQ2s to my ARB, and it turned out great! https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/arb-bumper-mod-rigid-sr-q2.376733/

Do you have anymore pics of your truck with the arb on it? Can you show closer pics of how it's mounted without the factory bumper being cut/trimmed?

I liked them enough that i decided to see if i could clone one. I took and made mine just comparing to pics on the internet. Not quite done, still need to make the rubber bumper pads.

I think that picture of the old wrecked tacoma is proof enough to me that they don't maintain crumple zones. Overall it's probably a lot more dangerous than a stock design that will compress to soften a blow (both for you and the other car involved)

I would have to agree on high speed head on crashes they must be less safe for both parties. But on slower hits and animal hits they are awesome. My bumper has paid for its self 3 times now. Once on a deer going 55, once took a corner to fast and ran through a snow bank that was mostly ice, and just last week some douch backed his little pos car Into it while parked. Came out of hose 3 incidents without a scratch. Tho there was one fatality ;)

Hey, how much does the bumper actually weigh without a winch. I've been hearing as much as 150 lbs and as low as 65 lbs.....

I just called ARB and they quoted me at 250 lbs actual weight..... When I questioned it they admitted they don't actually know and that they will have to put it on a scale and call me back.....

THEY MAKE IT :welder:??!?!?!??!?! How do they not know how much it weighs?????

    :annoyed:
