Those specs are out of date. 884's are giving about 2" lift (May have to verify this with TacoNut), and the 995's are giving 2.5" to 3" lift. It IS best to run the OME springs with the OME n140s shocks, or the Bilstien 5100's for best results.

This is a great thread as it is slowly answering my questions. What's the length and #'s of the 883's and Eibach's as well? I'd like to see 1.5" in front, steering clear of the 5100's as well.

The 883 is the same rate and wire thickness as the 884 and 885's, but only 375mmm in length. They give about 1.5" lift.

I just did the OME 885/140s on the front of my 2006 DC 4x4 SB OR. I bought it used and it already had AAL in the back so it was snowplowing like crazy.

The 'leveling kit' worked great, although I do now have vibration at 3500 RMP...is that common with this set-up? I also just dropped a 180 Leer topper on it, so now back is down ~ 3/4 to 1 inch. Sigh. I'm thinking now about just adding a 1" block to get the rear up just a bit without stiffening the ride any more...

will post pics if anyone is interested.

I'll try and get some pics up today. I reread my post and of course I meant 35mph!

I didn't do the differential drop ~ the dealership that did the work said it wasn't necessary with only 1.75 lift in the front...anyone differ with that? Also, I didn't do a spacer for the lean, but really don't see a noticeable lean on my truck...do most folks do the spacer? I'll measure the tires and see if there is a lean or not.

About the lean, I am afraid to measure because if I know about it... I can't forget about it.. LOL yes, I am using the spacers to fix the lean. never noticed a lean either.. just put it in anyways.

You don't need the Diff Drop unless going more than 3" of lift as I understand it (someone correct me if I am wrong). I now have more than 3" of lift, and am still not using a diff drop and no vibrations or funny noises that I have noticed yet. I am guessing you will only notice those in 4wd, and have done minimal testing in that mode to date. 50mph in 4hi, some turning.. no "flooring" it though.

I will. May be awhile though. I'm a cheap bastard and prolly do the work myself to save some $$$ which means I'll have to find time between kid's soccer and football games. Life gets in the way of mods too often.

So far I don't think I need the spacer for the lean, or the diff. drop. But, I am experiencing vibration b/w 35 and 40 mph that wasn't there before, and definitely have a stiffer ride than before I put in the 885s...any thoughts on the vibes? Should I look at a diff drop so I don't do any damage?

On my '05, I put in spacers with the original Billys and springs, and it gave me the levelling I wanted but maintained a smoother, stock ride...

Not sure what kinda spacers you had before the 885's, but if the vibes are comming from the rear, you may need a axel shim.

hmmm, this is a lame question, but how do I tell if its from the front or the rear? i'm thinking front, because they showed up at exactly the time I did the front OME install...

Front vibes are felt in the steering wheel, rear are felt in the seat.

Anyone have any comments on 1 inch blocks to give a slight rake back after installing OME 885s in teh front? Don't want to add another spring b/c it'd be too stiff, just want a little more lift. Don't do too much heavy towing or wheeling, just want clearance and nice stance...
