CARB=California Air Resources Board. Any OEM vehicle part that the state of California thinks has an impact on emissions can't be replaced by an aftermarket part unless it has gone through an expensive testing process that proves it doesn't increase the emissions of the vehicle. Once the company has proven to CARB that it hasn't increased emissions, the state issues a CARB EO (Executive Order) number for that part for that year vehicle. When you install the part in the vehicle, you need to then put a sticker with that CARB EO number on the car so the cops can check it.

I have a CARB legal Kenne Bell Supercharger on my 96 Mustang Cobra. That twin screw blower gives me tons of low end torque.:D

My new (to me) 03 2.4L Tacoma feels pretty weak to me so I was wondering if a twin screw might help it out a bit, but it looks like I should stay happy by thinking of my fuel economy, especially compared to the Cobra. Didn't mean to turn this thread into a CARB thread. Sorry.

Actually I have heard many people say that adding a S/C did not change fuel economy as long as you stay in vacuum. Now having the self control to do so is what I would fail at:devil:

Above someone said that they were going to hold out for URD's kit before the purchase anything. Is URD going to be releasing a 4cyl kit anytime soon?
