I've seen a pic with some turn signal replacements done on your truck and it looks like a grill mesh or something, did you just do sort of a mini satoshi grill mod on the turn signal holes? Also did you mount the led's straight to the plastic or what? I have some led's to use as fog/offroad lights and I'm trying to think of ways to go about doing it. My biggest problem is probably filling up the entire housing/hole. I'm just wondering how you did it in the other pics.

Lol jeesh I really need to get my write-up going for you guys! I still have not got around to installing the led bars in the turn signal spots in valance... To answer your questions though, they are mounted using a combination of brackets, that are attached to the plastic on bumper. And yeah I used a honeycomb design from customcargrilles.com to make it look cleaner. I also got longer Allen replacement bolts to insert through the mesh and into the front caps of the light bar for a little extra sturdiness. And it just looks sick;)

Again, I will be installing these sometime in the future when I get time. Along with a ton of pics. It's a pretty meticulous process... And just a pain to do to get them mounted in there. For now this is the only pic I have from behind showing how I mounted them before.

Oh and as far as filling in the gap.. I just thought, that if you aren't into mesh, you could always use a thin piece of sheet metal instead of mesh inserts, and cut out the rectangle (using measurements of just the reflector/lens) to match your specific led lights.. Making it flush mounted so to speak. Kinda like the inserts/brackets that rigid sells for the 2nd gens fog lights for their duallies.

Oh, ha, no those do not work as turn signals... They are tied into the others which come on with high beams. I suppose you could get some Amber ones and use those as turn signals, which I originally was gonna do with the rigid Srq ambers that I have on my hood now. They were way too small for the turn signal spot. But even then, they'd be too bright for turn signals. Ha. I now use those ones as daytime running lights on the hood and they turn off when my headlights come on at night as they are too bright, but perfect during the day.

OK this might be a stupid question but where do you put your front licence plate? I want to put a 20 inch light bar on the bumper but I can't see where else it could go. I'm also in Texas so it is required. Also those brackets for the fog lights where the turn signals used to be and the 20 inch in the bumper, did you make those? I was kinda wondering how. It looks like some sheet metal. I have basic metal tools and knowledge but I could probably make them.

Sucks for you regarding the license plate! Lol jk. Idk, move it down to the lower holes. Or attach it to the skid plate bolts somehow. I don't require one;)

And yeah it's flat stock stuff I found at ace hardware. 1/4" galvanized I think, and I don't remember what the other one was called with holes in it. Perforated flat stock or something. I bolted the perforated to the light bar. Then bolted the other thinner flat stock to that, and attached it to the two tabs I left in the plastic bumper top and bottom. So there's four attachment points holding the light to the bumper. Plus the longer tiny Allen bolts through the mesh into the light bar caps. Used a drill and a hack saw was all. And a razor to cut the turn signal housings out. A dremel works but is tricky, and risky. Almost screwed up my new valance as I started one side with a dremel and it caught in the plastic and buzzed out of control..

Lol lucky with the license plate. Thanks for the stuff about the brackets, if its ok I'm gonna use your pics for reference to make brackets. Also gonna use the idea for the led's in the filler panels. Im probably gonna white ones though for just dtrls. I would also kinda want to run about 3 or 4 of the amber eagle eyes led's around the side of the parking light housings for turn signals. My only problem is drilling holes in the fender. I guess if were to ever take the lights off, I could bondo it and paint it.:itllbuffout: Lol jk. That would look though.

Yeah I'm debating whether or not to try retrofitting some of the led eagle eyes in my new headlight housings. For sure going to try it in my brake housings. Anyways.. yeah the brackets aren't too hard. Just time consuming and taking measurements over and over to get it right. The way I did the perforated bracket for the 20" was to measure tab to tab in the valance. And bent it over on the ends with a hammer in a vice. And cut the ends at an angle. The turn signal brackets were more complicated. First I attached the mesh in. Bolted the 8" bars to the mesh with the longer Allen bolts for the front caps. That held them in place temporarily to get measurements for the other pieces. The mesh is way too flimsy though to hold them for long. Again I'll be doing a full write-up in the future sometime. Idk when though..

Will a double row light bar fit in lower bumper or does it have to be a single row? I haven't found measurements online for the double row bars to compare with my bumper...
