I have a canopy on my 2013 with locking handles but would to lock the tailgate as well. I see some reviews on pl5500 pop and lock are mixed good and bad. Any input on these versus some kind of padlock or sliding pin on the tailgate to the box on the inside of the tailgate that looks clean? If the canopy is locked you can't reach in to unlock the tailgate. We just got an arb fridge and want some security for it back there.

I have the earlier PL5200 version. Works well enough after 5 years. Spray the moving parts with white lithium grease before you close up the tailgate liner.

The only issue I have with my pop-n-lock is that the handle sometimes feels like is might break. It doesn't... but it feels like it might. If they would make the handle of slightly thicker material...
