Not today, but recently I put a grey Dashmat on my black dash. I was noticing the vent temps climbed rapidly when the truck was parked in the sun, and even when I stopped at a light. I'm in HVAC/R and always have a spare digi thermometer riding in the vent. My informal observations showed a good 10F drop in vent temps when my truck was started back up. The cab cooled down a lot faster because of this.

I'm glad this worked, coz that Dashmat is fugly!

Not too shabby. Did you use a heat gun to flare out the end of the PVC like that?

    None...yet!
I assume that's for short trips between fishing holes only? Not sure I'd want my gear so exposed at highway speeds lol

I don't actually have a heat gun, so I improvised with a long grill lighter.

I need to figure supplies and costs. I just put that together with scraps I had in my garage. Give me a few weeks and I'll post for it specifically. I'm leaving the country next week for a month and I'll have some down time to work on it.

I think you could actually do pretty good if you offered a number of different holders, not just the fishing rods. I think BensonX is doing something similar but as long as what you made was not a copy of his design then everyone likes having different options.

That shouldn't be an issue being I have no idea who that is or have even seen his idea.
