So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
My Girlfriends 2012 Rav4 has head rests that are supposed to move forward like in a collision. We saw a few on the lot which were tipped forward lke that and dealer said they would be reset back. I know my 09 Taco doesn't have that nonsense.

Government regulation ended the days of adjustable headrests. Ours are height adjustable, and that's it, but in the 90's you could easily set the angle to your liking, as i recall they had a built in little ratchet system for tilting. It was great! Then the government stepped in with a heavy hand.

It gets worse too. My '09 had the horrible angle which was pictured above, which I fixed.

Not sure which year it started, 2011 maybe? model trucks Toyota put in medieval anti-whiplash front head restraints which will F-up your lower back.

Shit! Maybe this is why my back feels like shit. I have been blaming it on my 3 y.o. heavy weight this whole time.

May have to do this mod. Thanks Crom.

This is a perfect headrest angle! Can you post pictures of the final bend angle? I know a lot of trial and error wen into this, and I need to know when to stop bending the pipe. A few pics would be awesome. Great job BTW, now I can finally stop the headrest from causing backaches.

I'll snap some pics, next time I'm out.

    Thanks.

Trial and error, yes, but really it's not that bad. It's a 15 minute job once you set up your workspace. I forgot to mention, it's very important to take a notes from Hal Eckhart whenever bending metal and listen to music suitable for bending metal. lol

My wife's 2014 Lexus ES300h has adjustable headrests. You can move them up and down and back and forth. Actually you pull them forward and the 'click' to presets. Once you pull it so far forward it resets and goes all the way back to back and you can begin to pull them forward to your liking. I like them all the say forward, my daughter prefers them in the rear most position.

Relocated the tow wiring harness, plugged the 2 oval holes and painted exhaust pipe black to clean up the back.

Thanks for this idea!! Hit my local Loew's today and picked up the 2 gallon version of that same tank. Went really high tech and put it in an old milk crate that's bungeed in my bed. I'll fill the rest of the crate with some hand soap, towels, etc.... Going camping next week. Looking forward to hosing down the kids after a day of hiking.

How'd you secure it up there? Been wondering if I had any options as to add-ons for my OEM rack.

I used the loops on the inside/middle but you can also buy the clamps that go around the crossbars like Yakima or Thule
