I got started on yours yesterday. Should ship sometime next week. Progress is good and I fear it will end up way better than the one I have on my own truck!

what is the max diameter and speaker depth for the underseat enclosure? I'm a bit commited in the behind the seat deal, I am just curious for this situation.

That's going to look killer! Hope the progress is going well. It's worth it in the long run!

The biggest you can fit down there (without DRASTICALLY changing things) is an 8" speaker. Anything bigger requires a wider mounting surface than is available due to the width of the bin. I believe that 5" is about the max (due to the sloping geometry) but I think @Pcyc can likely give you a more concrete measurement since he'll have his baffle on soon and could give you a proper depth measurement.

Here is what the bin looks like before modification.

I'm not a big stereo guy, but that's badass. Just curious, but why can't the ports be cut in the front of the "enclosure" pointing towards the front of the vehicle?

They very easily could. You might lose some rigidity in the seat though.

They definitely could. However, when I was doing this (years ago now) I recall thinking that pointing them like that would offer no real benefit and would do irreversible damage to the bin metal (and carpet). Not only that, but the biggest issue is what to do with the ports once you get them inside the box. You have to somehow snake them around the subwoofer magnets to get proper port length. Second issue is that there's only 0.9 cubic feet of airspace down there. Start taking up that space with ports and you'll have even less.

It's a bit of a balancing act using that space. ;)

Exactly, this is one of the biggest issues with the storage compartment. You have to balance and weigh out the options are personally i don't see the space there being adequate for more than a single 8 ported or 2 8s sealed. I Hate sealed boxes but i hate under sized ported boxes even more for the type of music i listen to. If your preference is punchy music, higher freq 45hz+ then a smaller ported box tuned at 40hz works wonderful and one can take advantage of such a response by getting an RTA and adjusting your LPF and HPF exactly where you need it to work best with your mids. I.e you can then easily have a 80hz cut off freq to help out the mids a little
