Forewarning: you may have a little condensation from the seals having holes in them (I did on one of mine), but it's an easy fix. After a good rain, check on the lights a few days later for condensation. If you've got some, pop out the running light, air hose the shit out of it until the condensation subsides and go to town with more sealant

Has anyone done this and put the original corner lights on the stock bumper?

yeah but I ran a 2 wire cable from 1 connector along the wire loom to the other connector, then swapped the powers by cutting them and crimping the wires across the 2 wire cable to the other connector. issue with this is I get hyper blinking.

I'd like to change the bulb socket behind the corner lamps like the OP is doing to I can put a dual filament and keep the corner lights there with an even brighter turn signal in the front.

I just rerouted the corner light fixture and drilled a hole in the old blinker lights and extended the wire to reach down there. Too bad Toyota didn't make them like this.

Hi @PcBuilder14, your thread lives on. I just did this mod today on my best-gen single cab in preparation for a Trail Gear winch bumper I just ordered. Your excellent write-up on page 1 made it fast and easy. The front and side visibility for the blinkers is so much better in this location. The OEM location was pretty ridiculous. Thanks again!

I did this over the weekend . . . swapped wiring from turn signals to corner lights and visa versa. I installed Sylvania/OSRAM 6000k white LEDs in the former turn signal positions, converting them into nice bright driving lights. And in the former corner light positions, I installed Sylvania/OSRAM amber LEDs for decently bright turn signals without having to convert to another bulb type. So no cutting of any of the light housings.

Will this socket and these switchbacks work together? One power wire from running lights, one power wire form turn signals and one ground correct? Want to get everything from this one bulb...

Switchback leds showed up. Should hopefully be able to squeeze these into the clear corner lights, if not I'll fall back on dual filament amber bulbs.

make sure you have at least something orange/amber showing for running lights. pretty sure this is required by law, check to make sure.

Do you happen to have the part numbers to the lights you purchased? Thanks

Just finished my turn signal relocation, they are now where they should have been to begin with!
So the LED were actually too long so I ditched the socket completely and just soldered and mounted the switchback LED bulb instead. Turned out really clean! Just have to mount them now. Did not have to drill a ton of holes either.
