2015 DC with only 4500 miles and tonight I'm coming down my gravel road and every rise and small dip in the road was causing squeak squeak from leaf springs. WTH....This shouldn't be happening already? So I call the dealer to see about making an appointment and I'm told they all do it eventually and there is no fix? Is this true? Anybody have a fix?

Probably have the only 2nd Gen with an 8274 in the world.
Grease where the leafs touch, that's what I do and it lasts a good while. I jack mine up from the rear bumper using a Highlift and pry the leafs apart to access.

Do you think that penetrating liquid that turns to grease would work? Seems that Toyota should have addressed this since its been an issue for the entire 2nd Generation truck from what I'm reading!

I greased mine up like White Bear said but that only lasted for a couple days. I plan on doing an ever better fix for this and it is to add a bicycle inner tube between the leaf springs. Click Here for the write up.

Take it to the dealer. They should replace the leaf pads under warranty.

    Stock for now...
Try a graphite paint lube called Slip Plate - won't come off and gets more slippery with wear , it's an old offroad trick to help leaves slide smoothly for flex . You'll need to jack the frame up and open up the leaves to get it in there - and don't overspray onto things you have to touch , stains your hands .

Mine don't make any sound at all, but I also sprayed the shit out of my underside with fluid film since day one.

And make sure the clamps that prevent the leaved from sliding sideways are not rubbing on the leaves

Grease has never worked for me, just in the dirt too much (dedicated trail rig) and after cleaning the truck the grease wears off and eventually squeaks again. Was on another thread on here a little while back and someone mentioned leaf spring liners. I plan to pull my packs off, tear them apart, clean everything up real good and use the liners between each leaf. I'll probably regrease as well for added assurance.

For me I could care less about the squeaks, its more what the squeaks represent (friction) which takes from how the leafs respond when flexed.

That's exactly what the bicycle inner tube does

I understand that, but its rubber verses poly-vinyl plastic with a built in lip to keep it in place. I rather use the poly-vinyl plastic liners.

If you plan to droop your rear leafs out all the way the tubing will eventually start to come out the side (ask me how I know). Also rubber doesn't make for a slick surface which IMO just adds friction, not what I want.

I'll give this a try and if I'm not happy with the results I'll have the leafs coated and use a real tacky grease similar to whats used for poly bushings.

Mine squeak when I crawl over stuff in my truck.

They squeak when I haul stuff in my truck.

They squeak because they're leaf springs ON A TRUCK.

Billy's all around. 1.75 up front. Fisher HT 6'8" Steel blade. Custom bed rack. Mt Shasta.
I have an 05 that got the frame replaced along with the 4-leaf pack. I also installed an AAL but , she started squeaking so I bought the 04001-28104 spacer kit and it doesn't fit. The new spacers have oval tabs like the previous leaf pack. Now I have circular tabs for the spacers...Can anyone help me out? Did I order the wrong part number or is that there something else out there that will work.

    What in the actual fuck
Is the reasoning it's ok for a truck
To make annoying noises that suck?

We pay a quite premium for it,
So that it's not a 1970's piece of shit.
Please take that argument and quit.

Just because a truck's meant for work
Is no reason for a noise making quirk.
Thinking the contrary makes one a jerk.
