Or have done it, put a small lift and after market tires and wheels on a 2.7l prerunner double cab? Let's be honest it's slow but strong little bitch of a motor, but very reliable, tested and proven, just wondering if someone out there went above and beyond and got crazy with their 2.7l prerunner dc.
**Specifically looking and or interested in AUTO'S, I know the manuals are fully capable of handling whatever, would love to own one but they only come in access cab format**

My 2007 had the 2.7. It was an access cab, and didn't have a lift (it did have the leaf spring tsb), but I was running 265/75r16s and it didn't mind it at all. I guess I should mention that it was a manual though.

I am installing a full OME setup with 884X coils and Dakars on Saturday. Currently on 265/75/16 all terrains.

I'm currently lifted about 2" front and rear and the truck came originally with 245/75/16 Dunlops. It drives a lot different with my current lift, MPG has suffered a fair bit.

The second lift (OME) will be taller still and more capable, I don't know if I'll go up in tire size again as I don't want to go into an LT tire. So, I'm assuming a P series 275/285/255 is a hard find but I'd definitely considering upsizing again if such a tire existed and wasn't too much heavier than my current Cooper ATP all terrains (41 lbs). Performance drop over stock is noticeable as well.

You got to work with what you got.... That is what a girl I met told me a long time ago, not real sure what she meant.

Hankook dynapro atm comes in 255. Probably lighter than what you're running now
How do you like the 884's? I have eibach 1.6 coils but may sell and get the 884

I am not sure you could get a 2.7 DCSB Prerunner with a manual transmission.

    Hankook.. :pout:

I think my ATP is 41 lbs per tire. I had Dynapro ATM RF10s in P265/75/16 before these Cooper's. I had 6 of them actually, in 6 months and 6k miles (numbers are estimates.. :D ). Had nothing but constant vibration problems and balancing problems with them. Had a full set mounted and balanced that became 5 balancing appointments before they took the 2 worst offenders back on manufacturing defect warranty, then have me 2 fresh ones in trade. 2 more balancing appointments and I returned them all and ordered ATPs (got all my money back on the Hankooks and paid the difference for the Cooper tires) and problems have all since disappeared.

I don't imagine ever trying them again. It was a very long 6-7 months or so.

Oops. I don't have the 884X coils installed yet. Everything will be going in this Saturday and my 5100s front/rear and Wheeler's 3 leaf AAL are going to another TWer.

I have a set of 884 coils for sale, if you want to try them on the cheap. I paid $100, I'd sell them for $75 and split shipping 50/50. Previous owner said they've only been on 2 trucks and have 25k miles on them. I am suspicious of that being true, so I didn't want to install them when everything else is brand new.

Good to know. Do they come in a 16" wheel size? Maybe I will jump to 17s with the next tire set if not.

Edit: I just looked at your media page. Those are nice looking tars! @Blackout14

Yes, I know you cant, I was just reiterating the fact, because someone posted something about their manual access cab.
