    Have never had an issue with this one until now. Did have trouble with the one piece of trash weed eater I had several years ago... hmmmm maybe the gas was the issue :notsure: But this one will only stay running with the choke on. when I turn the choke off, it croaks. Even pushing the throttle all the way, it won't stay on.... Mike, in the 60's thread said what to do. Gonna try some pblaster small engine stuff and/or some sea foam and see what that does.... Youtube has some great tutorials... have used several times :thumbsup:

    Its definitely cooling off here. Wonder if we're in for an early fall... Guess it snowed in some of the mountains around the state this weekend. As much as I hate to see summer waning I know that the cooler weather is helping the guys and girls fighting the wildfires so... :pray:

    Almost was! I was up on an embankment about 30' and they were across a little stream at the bottom of that, maybe another 30'. I was surprised that they got that close. The 3rd guy is pretty dodgy. He likes to hang back a bit, usually 100 yards or so. Don't know if you can tell from the photos but he's a little older and greyer - little more wary of people. He just came out of the willows (I had no idea he was hiding in there) and the other guy stopped what he was doing and trotted over to him, then they wandered off together. Kinda like the younger guy was standing guard over the older guy. Pretty cool....

    The smoke has been awful here. I went south to the Tetons thinking that I'd get out of the smoke but no luck. It was so-so Friday and then that night and Saturday morning the smoke really set it. Takes a lot to hide 13,000 feet of mountain! Was a little clearer today (wind out of the south) but its still smoky....ICKY!!

    Nope. Mostly the smoke bugging my eyes and its not technically an allergen, just an irritant. Only thing I can do is limit my time outdoors so that means no camping until the smoke clears out....or I get a hazmat suit with an oxygen tank to wear outdoors :notsure:
