    The license plates must be fastened horizontally, in a manner to prevent swinging, at a height of at least 12 inches from the ground. They must be clearly visible and kept clean and legible. Vehicles must have plates attached to both the front and rear of the vehicle

    Short answer: doubtful. Not very "visible"

    Never enough
    Even if that placement is technically legal (I doubt that it is), it still gives a cop a crappy "reason" to pull you over and lecture you about it and hope they find something else to ticket you for in the meantime. If you try it, let us know how it goes. Seems like a nice way to display the plate if you can get away with it.

    Got a questions for you real mechanics. @lotsoftoys @thefatkid

    Recently my fan clutch hasn't been disengaging as easily/as much. Especially when wheeling. This weekend a lot of my time in 1st gear 4L was spent with the fan howling. It engaged when stopped nearly every time and wouldn't hardly ever stop in 1st. Seemed to only disengage after some time at 3K RPM or above in 2nd. Also notice it starts howling fairly often sitting at a light and takes a bit to disengage after that. Seems like this started a couple months ago, before that only really remember hearing the fan howl for 30 seconds or a minute at startup.

    So, does that sound like a fan clutch issue, or possibly a cooling system issue causing the fan to be on more? According the ultragauge, coolant temperature almost never goes above 200. Usually at 194ish crusing and was around 198 or so this weekend when wheeling.

    You could inspect radiator temperature with a temp gun. If it is heat saturated it could cause the fan clutch to stay on longer. the most likely cause is your fan clutch just wearing out. Is it leaking oil at all. It would just be a slight residue because they don't contain much oil.
