Is the inside of the bed of a 2011 tacoma all metal or like a plastic insert? Looking information so I'll know what kind of weight I can haul back there.

If I drill holes in the bottom of the bed to hold something down and from moving side to side would the bolts end up pulling threw sinceit's fiberglass

I know these are D-rings, but these are put out by Toyota with the backing plate for use on the Tacoma composite bed. PT278-35054

If you use any bolt, be sure to use some type of backing plate to distribute the load.

but seriously , D rings on the bed bolts is the strongest solution

Composite and D rings is what you need.

Is this solution still holding up? I need to add another anchor in the center of my bed. I need it to tie down (2) sportbikes. The way I would tie them down is using both D-rings up front and using this center d-ring to tie down both bikes in the middle.

My concern is the composite bed...

    Thanks,

There is no center bed bolt is there? Didn't these replace bed bolts, meaning they are frame mounted, with no load on the composite.

I added the d-Rings to the bed bolts that secure to the frame. That setup is good for (1) motorcycle secured to the centerline of the bed.

Yesterday I had to haul (2) motorcycles and I had no other choice but to strap them to the front rail cleats. It was a short trip, but I want to avoid using the cleats again for the motorcycles.

Thats about right, I have (2) of those plates left over from my d-ring mod. I only really need (1) now, but I also need a d-ring for it.
