Yeah I was wondering the same. I stopped to check yours out one day when I was eating at the grill lol. What trails do you guys take? I've wanted to take that one up by Cody. I can't think of the name of it but it's the one with the rock swtichbacks.

Morrison Jeep trail? That's closer to red lodge though. @BossFoss

Goose lake trail north of Cooke City is a fun one. Lots of trail in the bighorns near shell canyon we've been on. And then there's all the stuff near Lander with Shoshone, Christina and back in Maxon basin. That stuff can be a tight fit though. I also want to do a trip accross the north of the red desert and end up in the kilpecker sand dunes It's about 100 miles of dirt, should be sweet.

Here's the big trip from last year. I only joined for part of this trip.

Morrison jeep trail that's the one I was thinking of. Red desert to dunes would be a good trip. Been awhile since I've been to the dunes. Been on Christina lake and most of the ones behind maxon basin and limestone. Need to check off Shoshoni lake at some point but I don't think I will this summer. I'd be up for anything really if ppl were doing a trip.

I want to get one more trip in before roads close down. If you get a free weekend coming up let me know or post in here and see if we can get something together. I'd do goose lake again. Steve @woodnick are you up for something?

What do you guys think of the new gen 3? It will be nice to see what accessories will do for it in the future but I'm still partial to the gen 1 for looks/size.

I honestly haven't looked at the gen 3 much. I may go have a peep when they show up in town here just to look for the hell of it. Honestly I really like first gens. I've told Monte this but i've come close a few times to buying a ratty first gen to turn into a go fast toy and reverting the build of of my 2nd gen a bit. But I realized I just don't want two trucks with the space i have, plus Jen wouldnt go for that haha.

I'm with you on the size thing Brett for the most part. I envy the 1st gen in a lot of trail situations but love the size of my cab for long trips.

let me know if you want to get out for a quick trail run next weekend @BossFoss . I'd be up for a rip up cyclone again, or out bombing around govt draw for some go fast fun. I'll have headers to get on too but i'm hoping to get that done over two nights during the week.

Yeah i really want to get a gen 1 double cab and do a 1kz or kd diesel swap with a manual trans, possibly even SAS.

Headed to boulder next weekend to pick up a car for lemons racing. Not sure what time I'll be back. I might stay with a friend which would put me home Sunday evening. The following weekend I should be good to go for a cyclone trip or the draw.

Be sweet. Sas and a diesel swap  for a trail rig! Check out this build: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/45acp’s-divorced-build.198660/ He used to live in WY and vicariously lives through us since he's back in WI now but he's building a bad ass 1st gen. Basically a tube truck with a tacoma cab haha.

Hey no problem for next weekend. Lets tentatively plan for the following then to get out and hit some trail. Where is your next lemons race? Do you know a Jeff from Laramie/Cheyenne area @FreidTaco I think they've been running a corolla or they did last year.

I remember hearing of a team from Cheyenne last year in Denver but I didn't meet them. Next race is in SLC in October, but the car I'm getting I'm hoping to have it ready for Denver next year

Cool. Lemons is totally intriguing to me. I've been around NASA time-attack quite a bit when i used to live in WI but lemons sounds like a lot more fun and cheaper... The NASA stuff is so competitive that nobody seems to have a ton of fun.

Well I found my Tacoma. Found an 07 trd or DCSB with 66000 for 15000. It's all stock and unmolested at the moment.
