I am going to go with a flip key but I have a question before I order. I have a new 2015 DCSB and it came with two keys (key and fob seperate). I was going to buy the flip key with no chip and swap the chip from one to the other. Is that an easy process? I see on the fob where it will split to open up. Once I am inside, how easy is it to remove the chip and then place it into the new flipkey? If this is easy, I will place my order. Thanks and let me know!

The remote key will soon only be sold by authorized shops. I'm focusing on the flip keys in my online shop.

If you know a key shop or locksmith that might want to sell it, let me know.

The post was not for you.

To answer your question. Putting the chip into the flip key is very very easy.
I can not answer your question about removing chip from key as I don't know your abilities. It can be tricky at times, risk of cutting yourself also.

There is videos on his web page. How good are you at cutting hard rubber with a very sharp knife? It has to be cut open, destroying the original key.

Im not too concerned about destroying the old key as longs as the chip is fine. Is it difficult to open the new flip key without damaging it? Does it come open?

It pops open if your handy with stuff like that. A small screwdriver should do the trick.

No no.... Do not open it. The key portion is a newer design with a hole to insert or remove chip.

Pray tell, how do you install it? Is there a video? I wouldn't mind cutting a key open myself. Kinda hate doing it but what the heck.

Just look at the bottom of key portion. A little hollow square. Put a little glue and slide chip in. That's it...Can't get any easier.

Just wanted to pay it forward. I received my all-in-one key and I couldn't be happier. Below is what I did to get the key to work on my truck.

    1. Pepboys Autoparts will cut the key for free. They just won't be liable if the key will not turn on. (it's an automated key maker machine so it's hard to mess up)

    2. Programed the remote in less than 5 min. using Neneago's instructions on his website.http://www.ovnisf.com/

    3. Programed the transponder using Neneago's You Tube video on "how to program a 4D dot transponder key" listed below.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yoXdIS5UzFw I have a 2007 Tacoma 4x4 DC TRD and this worked on my truck with no issues. Again took less than 5 min.

Total cost was $37.95 for the key. Thanks Neneago you saved me about $100+ not having to use a locksmith or the dealer.

Great!! Flip keys soon will only be available via a distributor. I don't have much time to be running the ovnisf website. So if you know a locksmith or key shop that might be interested in selling, let me know via PM

??? Ive never been able to get a Tacoma to work. Are you sure your truck is immobilizer equipped? Did you try starting key without the procedure?

I thought it wouldn't work for the Tacoma. Anyone else able to do this?

The transponder is one of the things keeping me from pulling the trigger on one of these keys.

99% positive I have immobilizer. The car/key icon is blinking when no key is in the ignition. When you put the key in the icon stops blinking. Plus I have bought other transponder keys before and they didn't work until I got them programed by a locksmith.

??? Strange!! All tacomas I have tried it hasn't worked. xJuice, go try and see if your immobilizer comes on after you do procedure. If it does, open door and it will suspend programming procedure.

Okay so I got my key in the mail on Saturday I believe, got it cut at the dealer today.

When I program the key fob, it works for a brief second after I program it, but once I get out of the truck it no longer will lock or unlock the truck and I have to use the old fob. Why is this?

http://www.ovnisf.com/toyota2.html - I ordered the AIO Remote key (GQ43VT20T), for the key that has the "dot" on the key blade. One thing I did notice is that the key you sent me did not have the "dot" on the key blade. Is it supposed to (like my OEM key)?

Also when i tried to program the transponder, I followed your youtube video:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=1&v=yoXdIS5UzFw
But nothing on my dash lights up. I left the key in there for a minute or more after just to be sure and it still did nothing.

By chance did you ship the wrong key? @neneago
