I've seen write ups where they got the 4Runner mirrors to work so I'll look for one of those and see if it works. Shouldn't be too hard to get them working...it won't be plug-n-play but it shouldn't be more than tapping into the right wires under the dash.

They'll bolt right up to an 05-11 no problem but I might have to swap the wire connectors.

I ordered my FJ TRD wheel centercaps, then drove the wife and I to a sushi bar for dinner! That was exhausting. Time for a nap. 2 days off this weekend. Last time I had 2 days off in a row was early March. Headed to Kentucky Motor Speedway in Sparta Kentucky tomorrow for the Xfinity Series race.

Her price was $317 for both mirrors and $68 for both color matched mirror covers. List price is over $100 more.

I was going to get the eBay aftermarket OEM style mirrors but nothing beats OEM quality.

I'm sure this has been discussed a million times but are these just plug and play? Like is the wiring already right there by the mirror, or do you need to wire it in to the turn signal circuit and power?

I will need to tap into the blinker circuit. The connectors might be the same but the wiring will definitely not be there.

Now this is on my 2010. As far as the 2012+ are concerned I'm not sure. I think if you've got power mirrors you've got the wiring but I could be wrong.

No kiddin, especially if you can get them cheaper than list. So stupid question, if I have an offroad, it'll plug right in, with no modifications?

Chances are very high that you will need to run the wires and tap into the blinkers. Not hard to do at all, just take your time. I did this to my 2014 along with adding OEM heated mirrors.

Oh, I do want to point out, if you have a 2012-2015 Tacoma, you should have the two piece mirrors already. This means, you only need to buy the Sport mirror cap, screws to hold the signal, the turn signal and a wiring pigtail. The two piece mirrors are the same construction from base to OR to Sport.

Edit: Heater thread if you want.

Right there with you. I swapped my boring silver 05-11 trim to 2012+ black trim, shifter bezel and floor console this summer. What was Toyota thinking with this silver trim. I think I've updated everything except for the front end. Even running 2014 bedside decals

Did you paint the two pieces of trim around the vent? I have a 2014 but mine are silver

No paint, it's from a base model.

Interesting, I don't suppose you still know the part numbers from when you changed all the trim pieces? It looks good!

I got the ac vent surround from the dealership, the radio bezel is a metra kit for 2012+. I found the AC controls, clock/hazard and shifter bezel from a junk yard on eBay and the floor console was purchased from LKQ.

Just looking for the non-clock hazard assembly to complete the dash and researching the steering wheels, clock springs and connectors because I really want an updated wheel. It'd probably be easier to just buy a 2012+ but it wouldn't be as much fun researching parts and numbers.

not many of us around here have done this. its quite the can of worms!

the good news is that the wheel swap is very easy to do. the bad news is that the airbag rarely sells for less than 450. I suggest you search ebay also for these parts in addition to calling the salvage yards and looking in the 2nd gen marketplace here on tw.

Do you know if the steering wheel is plug-n-play for the audio controls? Would I need a 2012+ clock spring as well or just the wheel and airbag
