I'd start with identifying the wire colors of your reverse light circuit by pulling your taillight assembly. Then tracing those words back to where you want to insert the light/lights. Do not use those shitty through wire splice clamps. Cut the wire and use butt connectors and heat shrink

I test drove one today while I was at the dealer, not sure it does much for me... Definitely happy with my 2nd gen

 

How much draw on the new lights? Depending on that you may need to do a relay not just splice them in. Low draw LEDs should be OK if its small amount but anything more you risk over working the factory wiring and electrical fire is no fun.

 

It's 2 lights each 18w. I was thinking of splicing without a relay. Was gonna do it later today.

Something the guys at Pelfreybilt put together for me custom. They did a great job, one of only things ill miss about San Diego is all the good fabricators ive gotten to know over the years. Tyler gets bonus points for being a duck hunter though

Thanks. Negative. Taco is still Trail Rig and my DD. I love it. This is just a back up to mess around with... I may flip it in a year and get a cummins or sell it to my little sister... Not sure yet
