None that I know of. Its under the intake manifold. You need to access it from the driver side wheel well. Its a tight fit with your hands.

Do you think its best to go after it with a universal joint? I'd guess its probably a real tight spot to work...I found that out last night trying to get off my oil filter.

I'm just replacing my fuel filter. just bought it from my cousin and the whole truck works GREAT. It has 135000 miles and just thought it would be good to give it a tune up... i think its a terrible place for fuel filter. anyone know any other way to replace it with out taking the intake manifold off or through the wheel well..

Does anyone know the size or sizes of the crush washers? The filters usually do not include these.

yes, it is very easy to reach it from the top.

you feel for the bolts with your hands and then remove it from the top and its not hard at all, the key is you need to be able to turn a bolt without having to be able to see it as you turn it.

also I suggest you relocate the filter once you remove it so see my thread here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/diy-2-4l-2-7l-fuel-filter-relocation-mod.349406/

Good news. I just heard back from my guy at BMA Auto Parts (www.bmaparts.com)

    Fuel Filter Seal - 90430-12026 - $0.45 each

I think they are just an odd M12 washer, ill measure once they arrive.

Jack up vehicle, remove the driver's tire and rubber splash guard. It's a straight shot at the FF clamp bolts. Loosen the bolts only, then from the top remove the bolts and band clamp that holds the filter. Pull the filter away from the motor and undo the hoses from the holders attached to the fender well and fire wall. This will allow you enough movement in the FF to undo the banjo bolts from the front and rear of the FF. Reinstall in reverse order. Shouldn't take more than 20 minutes(this includes drinking a couple cold ones and some choice words thrown in for good measure). It is 100x easier than doing the FF replacement on the older 22re's.

This is what holds the fuel lines on the fuel filter.

    The post above ^

The hollow bolt that allows fluid to pass through it into the banjo fitting to the left.

I let a good local shop swap mine out. It was original from 1995 and nasty.

Any recommendations for the filter? Dealer? Autozone? Somewhere else?

Call a real parts counter like BMAauto.com or any local place. OEM replacement all the way. Mine was a Mann filter. You may need to order 4 of the gasket rings, i posted the part number above.

Never mind. Stopped in at dealer and found out that the fuel filter for at least the '13's are part of the fuel pump. Not user serviceable. "It should never need to be replaced. ".
