    Copypasta from my own thread:

I finally found a dealer in SoCal that was willing to come down below MSRP (hard to find around here right now) and was able to find my exact specced truck (with a few overpriced addons I didn't really want, but accepted). I used the AMEX T R U E C A R car buying service to find them and get the lowest price I've been able to find anywhere.

    Double Cab, Short Bed
    TRD Sport
    Magnetic Gray
    Tonneau Cover
    Tow Package
    Premium Tech Package w/JBL
    D-Rings (didn't really want)
    Exhaust tip (didn't want)
Floor mats and door sill protectors (wanted to buy my own cheaper)

    MSRP: $36,354
    Less discount: (1,458)
    Plus doc fee: 80
Plus dealer trade fee: 250 (he wanted 500, I said no deal and we agreed on 250 for them to have somebody drive it from Chula Vista to Corona, roughly 100 miles)
    Total before TTL: $35,226

    Invoice: 34,069
    MSRP: 36,354
    My price: 35,226

So roughly $1,110 above invoice and $1,100 below MSRP. Definitely not the best deal to be had, but it's the best I've found and he located the only car in SoCal with the specs I wanted (I couldn't find it on any dealer websites, or on Cars.com). My other car was having more issues lately, so I had to expedite my purchase anyway. Definitely worth it to me to get the truck ASAP. Within 3 hours they had it up at the dealership last night, and delivered it to me in Orange today.

Whoa. I think this is a so cal offer. So anyone lucky enough to have recently graduated (last two years or will graduate in next 6 months) From college or certain technical schools can get a $750 rebate until 11/1. There's also a $100 off American Express offer. So using truecar.com, I've found DCLBTRDOR for just over invoice. In corona, ca.

No. Just here. But I registered it here. If you were to do the same you not not pay tax here, only where you register it.

On Monday (19 OCT 15) I offered 34k OTD here in Jacksonville area and i got turned down. So i made a final offer of 35k OTD and they still turned me down. They were offering prices around 37-40k for a DCSB OFFROAD. An today I got a phone call asking to come back but i dont think they are goin for my price. I feel like 34-35k is a fair offer. What do you guys think?

Not much negotiating with Tacos these days. If you don't buy it someone else will 20 min later. Considering my dealer had over 20 on the lot when I picked mine up and not one for sale, and people are on the waiting list until late December, the dealers can pretty much do what they want within reason regarding pricing. You may feel that's a fair price but Supply and demand dictates otherwise.

Out of curiosity where are you located? There are places already selling much lower than MSRP

From Texas, bought in Colorado. They are cheaper here at some dealers. Paid $34,600 OTD for a DC TRD OR 4x4.

Right. That's part of TT&L. All of those together give you your OTD cost.

My dealer has eight on the lot. I paid $500 over invoice (including all "fees" plus Tax ttl)
They are not flying off the lot as quick as high population more wealthy areas.

Florence Toyota SC internet is quoting at Invoice plus fees taxes and title which is about $500 over Invoice.

Opposite situation at my dealer in Denver. Then again Colorado is the Tacoma/Subaru capital of the world.
