Okay, I see pictures of some of your trucks with the big orange turn signal lights near the grill ON.

When I turn on just the parking lights on my 007, the little lights on the outside turn on. The BIG lights only come on when I use my turn signal or my hazard lights.

I really like the way the 2nd Gen's look with the two BIG orange lights on by the radiator grill. Is this the DayTime Running Lights? My truck does not have the DRLs. Is there away to make my truck look like this without destroying the existing wiring?

    Thanks!

    That is a great link!

I will probably wait till March and do this as time and money permits, but at least now I know where to look on how to do it.

    Thanks!

Well, I finally did this mod. It was pretty easy once I got behind the fuse box. I took some pictures. I can do a DIY thread on this if anybody else wants to do it.

I will get some pics of how the truck looks now after the weather clears up a bit. It looks awesome. Plus, when I want people to see me, I don't have to rely on the pathetic parking lights or burn up the headlights. :D

Later on (once I figure out which wire I need to bypass) I will install a switch to turn these off whenever I want. That I will definitely do a DIY thread on! ;)

I will try to bust out a DIY thread this week, but I am really busy. I have a ton of work to do, and I still have to find a house here in San Antonio... :(

*Sigh* - It never ends!

To each his own, I guess...

I love em'. They make my truck much more visible on the road (something you need if you ever navigate Planet Houston).

Hey... I am brand new on this site and i am trying to find out how to turn my DRL's OFF (that is the orange lights next to the grill). I dont like them on during the day when i am driving, i think it looks tacky (only my opinion). I have an 07 double cab, auto, pre-runner. I cant figure out how to disable these lights to save my life.... if anyone knows, thatd be awesome. Thanks for your time.

I will look back over the schematics again. I think that there should be a single wire that can be cut (or switched off in my case) to disable them. I will look into it when I get home tonight.

They go off when your parking or driving lights are on. Just remove the relay if you want em off.
