JeepAndrew's AZ Trail Runs/Campouts

I'm more of a "fuck sitting still" kind of guy.. Plus Kyla has never been up there and her and I haven't been out exploring together since before the baby (year-and-a-half or so). More fun for us then!

 

Me and jen will explore for a couple hrs, but then that depends when my beer in my backpack runs out.

 

Yea I'm down to pack up early and head out to explore for sure. We will leave after the exploring is done.

 

He is talking about Saturday unless you are just staying one night and heading back to Phx Saturday.

I go camping/wheeling literally every weekend, so I'm always packed and ready to go. Just sitting here twiddling my thumbs...

 

Well thank you! But last rug road I mainly stuck with the boys. Girls will be girls and talk about girly stuff. That's my cue to go shoot stuff haha

It'll be pushing time depending on traffic. If we are able to leave by 530 and beat some of the traffic with the HOV lane being open til 6, we might be able to make it. I have Jons number so Friday I can call him if we're close. Is that ok @iJonny?

 

I'm with you on that Andrew, time is precious, do what feels best. Just being in the cool fresh air will be great. A few hours poking around Saturday morning could be fun too.

 

We were doing homework tonight. And for the rest of the week haha it'll be done by next trip for sure.

 

So I'm having a dilemma... I was expecting my sliders and bumper to be here by now. Is the 4x4 route absolutely need sliders? I have a 3inch lift with 285s

 

How much do you like your rocker panels?

 

Would a dirt bike/dual sport be fun in this area to cruise around on? I'm debating wether or not it will be worth bringing

 

Last time @snowtank s cousin brought his little dirt bike and it looked fun cruising around in there especially with some camps being spread apart. I would be sure to have everything registered though, unfortunately we had the rangers cruising through camp and they luckily let him off with a warning (I may have helped ease the situation ). Ridiculous I know, since we're so remote, but nothing we can do.

Background Info
Rug Road is an historic 23 mile AZ ranching/mining 4WD trail that crosses the Galiuro Mountains East of Mammoth, over to Turkey Creek and the town of Klondyke. *This trail is Rated 3.5 - 4/5 depending on summer storms* Due to the number of 4WD attendees, we may split into two groups that will be 20 minutes apart on the trail. 4x4 out of Phoenix will meet at the Cobblestone on Signal Butte and the 60 at 0630 Friday. This will be a quick touch and go stop just to get all those heading to Mammoth, AZ for the 4x4 route together.

Mammoth
Final stop for fuel and supplies for the Tucson and Phoenix crew will be at the Circle K @ 0830-0900
