fog light bulb size

    I'm not sure what size if you're talking about actual size. But they should all pretty much be the same. The strength of the bulb is H10.

    Wherever you're buying from should have H10 bulbs.

    Any ideas on increasing the fog light wattage? Is it harmful

    I wouldn't reccomend it. The socket only supplies so much power, I'm not sure exactly how the fogs are wired but I'd stick with the H10's. I got Luminics Pure Blue H10's and they're great. www.luminicsusa.com Luminics are by far the best aftermarket bulbs out there, I got some new white headlight bulbs too.

    you can melt the housing if you go stronger so just stick with 55w

    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    i've also heard of people in other vehicles burning up the wiring as well

    I'll stick with the 55 watts and maybe the yellow amber color_after the independent mod..

    9005/HB3 size will fit, but then Vansurfing says that he put in H11 bulbs. So I'm confused. Will our trucks accept 3! different kinds of bulbs and if so, which size/bulb offer the best brightness that is still compatible for our factory fog lights?

    Look at your fuses. Amps=watts/volts. You can determine what the safe wattage level is using that formula compared to your stock fuse amps. If you look at the headlight upgrade I've done linked in my sig, the fogs really become a non factor as the headlights over power everything. I'd suggest just getting a higher quality bulb. There are several suggestions on page 4 of the headlight upgrade thread of lumen output vs bulb life.
