If you go on camping trips it will save you bed space. I bought a weatherproof bag designed for the roof for my Rav4 and throw sleeping bags, blankets, and our clothes bags up there. Freed up a ton of space for the cooler, stove, etc. Of course you won't have an issue with space in a truck but ya never know! Keep it. You scored.

I may be alone here but in my opinion the factory roof rack looks ugly. Of course I can see the value in it but it's just not for me.

So when you sell it... what are you gonna do with the holes in your roof?

Good point. I assume the black plastic strips can be purchased and put back in the channel.

Yes, but that will not seal the holes. I would decide now if you wanted it or not. If no, have the dealer uninstall it and seal the holes, that way they are responsible if there are any issues.

Good point guys. Sell the rack to make $200. Then when your roof starts dripping on you in a couple months it will be your problem instead of the dealers. Seems worth it

Yeah, I'm on the fence about looks. I will see when it gets here if I think I can make it useful. If so i'll keep it. If not I'll sell it. The 100lb limit just seems to make it very limited for practical usage.

I've filled a few holes in my day so I bet I can figure it out. Some of those holes took some work to get some goop into ;). I'll let you know if I take it off and what the outcome was.

No mods as of yet other than the fact that it is lifted. I just purchased the vehicle, so I am eager to see what everyone is doing with their rigs!
I enjoyed the innuendo on that last comment... Made me chuckle a bit.

Only like 5 minutes. It took me a bit longer when I first got it but it's an easy learning curve. Check out the RTT owners thread for more of them.
