Hello I have a new less than 3k miles on it Tacoma dbl cab TRD - 2015
    - Truck squeaks at speed under 20mph on bumpy roads
    - Appears to be from under truck (can't really tell if it rear or front)
    - Its under warrantee and I have brought it in 2x first time they said they did not hear or find anything
    - second time I went out with the mechanic and indeed - he heard the squeak - said it was normal
    - The noise was not there until about 1.5k miles - its driving me crazy

Anyone have any idea what it is or how to stop it!!!!!!!

Probably squeaky leaf springs. These trucks do that. Drove me nuts.

Thanks for the reply, do you have experience with this happening? is this something that should be fixed or is it just what some leaf springs do? Its under warrantee so I want to address it if its an issue. My Gen. 1 with 130k miles never did this.

I had the 3+1 leafs on my 2014 and they'd squeak all the time. From what I gathered, the consensus is there's not much to be done. Search for squeak leaf fixes on here, there are some threads with suggested remedies. I never bothered with it and now I just install new Dakar leaf springs that don't squeak.

Thanks all thats helpful - knowing its likely not an issue will make it easier to ignore. Kind of hard to believe the dealership could not tell me that.

Mine squeeked a bit as well but went away after a few thousand miles. I attributed it to things finally wearing in. Find some bumpy roads and break it in.

Try spraying some WD40 in the leafs near the ends or bushings. If the squeak goes away, then there's your problem.

Mine was making squeaky noises and it ended up being the little bracket on the brake booster reservoir. Grab it and move it around. If it's that it will squeak when you move it even by hand.

9 out of 10 times it will be the leafs. Every 2nd gen I've owned has done this and maybe around 10 different rear setups .. all squeaked. I just turn the radio up now

4000 miles on the clock and about 3500+/- on the springs (don't recall mileage when i put them on). Hopefully they don't, i hate squeaks!

Thanks for all of the advice: I found this TSB after following clearwater bills link. Its a bit old and the document does not include 2015 but I am surprised the dealer did not even mention the SB and placing a pad in-between the leafs.

6000 miles and still no squeak. Rear wheel well liner might be rattling though.

Anyone know if these are still covered? Noticed a squeak from behind me today at sub 20mph speeds.

This is not a recall . The TSB is in place to notify Toyota technicians what to look for in the event a truck comes into the shop with a leaf spring squeak and how to fix the problem .
I suggest bringing the bulletin into the dealer with you and grab the parts needed to do this job yourself . Cant be much money for new leaf spring inserts
