I'm heading up to eagle lakes camping friday night thru Sunday if anyone is interested. Last minute but I just was able to get the weekend off so I wanted to get in a camping trip while I can. I wont be wheeling due to no sliders and I will have the wife and 2 boys joining me for the weekend.

I heard there is an easier way to get in...I don't know my way around to well, but you should be fine on the road we all took. its pretty fun. put it in 4LO and crawl, enjoy the scenery. Go all the way down to the camp spots. there are some slabs and some nice water holes if you go hiking. Wish I could join ya man

We camped at the very last camp spot along the river. Wherewe had the last TW Eagles lake trip. If you hike away from the camp sites (Westbound) you will see the water holes. Maybe a 5 min hike.

Never been to eagle lakes. Heard it's a pretty cool place. I've got a 2015 DC TRD OR with Kings cranked up to almost 3" and running 33's. Would I be able to make it through without sliders?

Yeah you should be fine. There are a couple spots where you'll want to go slow to avoid hitting your cab but for the most part you'll be ok. Ran that trail with an 05 on stock tires and barely touched.

But just get sliders soon so you don't have to worry about it

Been checking out sliders. Haven't pulled the trigger yet cuz I just dumped a bunch of $ on my Kings, UCA's and a spring pack. Gotta lay low for a few months so my wife doesnt give me crap about spending too much on my truck. Lol!
Thanks for the info! I wanna make x trip up before the weather turns crappy

Haha I know what you mean. You have a good set up so hard to justify more - Just try to convince her that one last buy for the season will get you a LONG ways..

Posting here first. I went last yr and it was almost 50/5o Toyota / jeep. Let's out number the jeeps this yr. It for a good cause bring a toy. Caravan to uncle toms, have a beer, they through a decent raffle , go out and wheel or play in the snow if there is any.
