Used to get that stuff in the back of my 01 Lunar Mist all the time.

In other utterly boring news, been randomly adding items to the 2nd post list.

Not so boring, I think I'm ready to pull the trigger on black Konig Countersteers and Cooper ST Maxx 265/75 16s after Christmas.

The homemade tailgate seal I did on the 01 with Snugtop worked pretty damn well, definitely cut down most of what was getting in before I installed it. I also taped up the bed drain holes at the front before any long offroad camping trip.

It's nice how on the 2nd gen there are gaping holes around the rear end of the fiberglass bed. it looks easy to seal the gate against the uprights, but other huge gaps abound. Thanks again, Toyota Truck Designers.

Don't forget the holes inside the bed cubbies.

I like them a lot. It's really great to toss a ratchet strap or 3 in there, then a year down the road I'll open the cubby and find a nice dusty, mildew covered ratchet strap instead.

    Super thx.

Yes, yes those are great too, thanks for the reminder. I hate the stupid little knobs, too, and that they are covers, not doors. Any decent design would have a single finger-activated recessed button and a bottom piano hinge. Oh great, something else for all my free time.

I miss it less now. But I miss it. Having the 93 before it almost made it like having the same truck/cockpit for a couple decades. And I miss the stick.

What? No +1DMB for me? Seems to me the low range of 1st gear on the standard is a bit 'lower' than the Auto, and I miss that. I use the Auto stick a fair bit to control the truck speed on downhills, so I don't have to use the brakes as much, especially on slick roads.

+2 DMB. Just because it's fucking Christmas. Yeah, I've been driving the AT a bit more like that too. Like in a freeway interchange, I'll sometimes shift from D to 4, for example, and certainly coming down from Carson Pass a few weeks ago, my first drive to really get a feel for it in the mountains. In places, 3 was better.

ION, I just bought these. Yes I did. Just because it's fucking Christmas. And there were the last ones in stock. Depos.

OK, I was shitting myself with glee last night to have a few minutes to get some stuff online. A bit too hasty on the mud flaps I think.

I've looked at Huskys, RokBlox (or whatever, illiterate), Rally Armor, and Plasticolors.

Then I found this post on Proven Designs. I think I'm sold on this.

Saw this in my hood today, took some notes. Has many of the rack/camping elements I'm headed toward. Haven't seen it here before, I guess a visitor.

Also opened a bank account for Bennett. He's going to need to start saving now for gas money and mods.
