I think you're on to something. I always thought the Miata as being a girls car. No offense intended, of course. I also remember the RX7 being mostly a girls car.

I am taking my vehicles to Milton Martin for the free service because of location but I will never, never buy another car or truck from them. They were a little "devious" when I purchased my 2012 Taco AC from them.

The only issue I have is the strong buzzing vibration in the steering wheel, pedal, and floorbed that's been discussed in other threads. I traded my 2nd Gen, which didn't have any issues, not even the driveline vibrations. So perhaps that affected my expectations. I really love the truck otherwise and have found these forums helpful in that I know I am not the only one who has the issue. But I also find it helpful to know through these forums that a good deal seem to not have the problem. It confirms my experience in driving other trucks; some really have no hint of the problem. In fact, the dealership where I originally bought the truck actually tried to sell me one that didn't have the issue and trade me out for a loss. I was mad they tried to do that, but since then I often think maybe it would have been worth it. That's how much I like and want the truck. The dealership service department I am working with now is doing all it can to help, along with the field technical specialist. So I remain hopeful that Toyota is making a good faith effort to find the culprit.

Steering rack had to be replaced the first week I owned the truck. Good times.

My navi. system/radio resets itself, when parked and running. I usually pull up to work a half hour early, and sit and listen to the radio. Most mornings, ten minutes or so in, it completely resets itself, and sometimes twice. I've also noticed, that if i turn the engine to accessory, the charging system/module shuts itself off and tells me to check the charging system, usually within about fifteen minutes...It's quite annoying, if I am trying to listen to the radio while working on something in the garage or outside in the woods. It's certainly something, I feel, needs to be addressed.

Woke up to my first problem this morning. I noticed 6-10 drops of fluid on the ground, crawled under the truck and found a clear highly viscous fluid splattered around and dripping from around the differential. Taking it in today to have the dealership look at it. It's under warranty, I don't want to deal with it. I'll post an update later.

Vibration in steering wheel is a big problem with several new owners. Unfortunately, I am one. It is annoying and unacceptable. Three dealers looked at it and said it is "normal". If the other commenters aren't experiencing the same problem I don't see how it could be normal.

Took possession of the truck on 10-23-15; currently sitting at just under 3,000 miles. No problems. Completely satisfied with the truck.

    Yeah Its a hairdresser's car.....But I don't care. The Corvette was a geezer's car.

When you get to a certain age you begin to live from the inside out and not the outside in.....Opens up a lot of possibilities, I mean really..I am going to pass on fun driving experiences because of what strangers might think of my choices? Seriously?

Same. whistle with a cross wind. Apparently they have a solution (not a formal TSB that i know of) but our dealers master tech is coming in to fix them next week. I'll update when i find out more

Got rid of my Corvette for the 4x4 Limited Tacoma I have now. It's been a few days and about 150 miles and have enjoyed it with no issues. Corvettes are cool, just not for me anymore.

    Many to come
I'm overall very happy with my new Tacoma however, the issue that is driving me nuts is when I'm at highway speeds (75-80 mph) the truck is almost never in 6th, it stays in 5th and sometimes 4th with slight grades. If I am driving in town and slower 55-65 mph highway speeds everything is great and I average almost 20 mpg, but at higher speeds it's more like 15 or 16. I don't think there is anything physically wrong with the truck, I think the transmission or the cruise control needs some reprogramming, if not maybe the truck doesn't have enough power...... I put in a trouble ticket with Toyota Corp. so I will see what happens.

I voted no but full disclosure, there were some fit and finish things I ended up tweaking myself. Front grill not spaced correctly and interior trim around stereo not snapped into place (was all warped and I broke a clip trying to get it into place.) These are things I don't really consider issues because they were so easily resolved. Other than that *knock on wood* it's been really treating me right so far!
