Anyone know the pros and cons in mounting the shocks in this way compared to BAMF?

 

Isn't this mainly on first gens?

Not to mention they have a relocation for this at bamf too @JLee

I was looking at mounting this way when I 1st bought those 14s. There is a 2nd gen that's set up like this I just cannot remember who it is right now.

 

Technically first gen

You're going to need a towel after reading his build. Goes hard in the rocks

 

I doubt you can fit a 12" shock like that..

Several people have done it now. Myself along with Lurry, and @VanCity4x

My solution to the shock limiting travel cost me about 4 hours of my time and $30 for shock mounts on the axle. The BAMF solution cost you hundreds and you still have the tires eating the shock body at full stuff.

Here's the rear at full stuff against the bumpstop, still 1/2" of shock travel left.
