    How did you strip the chrome on your Tahoe? My Moto Metal's look horrible and the chrome is failing all over. I'd like to strip them and paint them black. A local company quoted me $500 just to strip the chrome....I can dang near buy new rims for that....

    Thanks for the info, Hopefully I can lose the spacers altogether. They have given me zero issues and have been great but I would rather not have them if I can avoid it.

    Xact. Fit very well. My boss picked up the weather techs and they felt cheaper compared to these.

    Wait for it...
    It was an extended project over the winter when I lived in Ohio but I bought a cheap air sander from Harbor Freight to handle most of the heavy work & hand sanded whatever else. They weren't 100% bare & perfectly smooth but it didn't bother me as much as the chrome peeling since the black hid a lot of the blemishes. I used adhesion promoter & etching primer to be sure the paint would stick. In 3 years I NEVER saw the chrome underneath & did a respray just before I sold them. At that point they were almost flat black. I might have a few pics at home if needed.
