    Looking for:
Best colour match for magnetic Grey
    &
Cleanest seam between bed and cap

-Not a fan of ARE because of a lip where cap meets bed.
-Im aware that snugtop covers a bit of the trd sticker but im willing to remove them for cleaner look.
    - worried about leers colour match for grey

Anybody have any experience or recomendations for the "best" bed cap?

Got my snugtop today, on paint matching magnetic gray is spot on, the quality of the shell seems good overall

The window latches are pretty cheap quality, but functional, I am going to add a little extra padding on the flip up door at center of the tailgate

Have Leer. They match about as well as you can get from any body shop using the color code. Obviously, the newer the truck, the better the match.image.jpg

I went with an ARE Z-Series. I personally feel the same way about SnugTop regarding the way they meet around the lip of the bed, especially with the TRD decals as it comes down almost over the decal and just looks weird. I guess you could remove the decals, but I just think the SnugTops look weird with how they sit on the truck.

The Z-Series is ARE's top of the line shell, has a really nice all-glass rear window, solid, study hardware for the rear window, no cheap window gaskets for the side windows either. Looks the most OEM of the bunch and not like an aftermarket afterthought. I should have it in about two weeks. Way cheaper than the comparable Snug Top SuperSport.

this really is a ford vs Chevy debate. Your best bet is to find a dealer that you like and will service you after that sale. Poke around and look at each brand, the difference between each will be apparent.

Who makes the rack on top of your cap? What rack or rail option did you have to get on the cap to mount it?

The bigger the better. Front slider, screens and about anything else you have an inclination for. The price is a one time expense while the " wish I had gotten " is with you the life of the truck.

I think to add the windoors after the fact is another $2-300 upgrade EACH side plus labor; GET THEM NOW!

X2 on the windoors. I have a 2011 Barcelona red, color match was about as good as I could have wished for, fit is good, and its a Leer xr. I have the sliding windoors and they have already paid for themselves in the ease of reaching the things you need that are in the very front of your bed. you can see a SLIGHT color difference in this photo, but that only appears in certain lighting. most of the time the match looks perfect.

Who out of ARE,leer & Snugtop have the best warranty? Got quotes on Snugtop and the ARE so far. The sales folks at Snugtop dealer were way easier to work with vs the lack of info from the dealer selling ARE and they just tried up selling me on the most expensive cap instead of helping me figure out what I really want, but the warranty and people’s experience with both would be nice to know beforehand! I’m shopping in the south Seattle area

Man, I know it's a drive, but head up to tulalip and have Greg at Superhawk help you out. They are awesome and sell snuhtop and century (same as leer). He backs up the sale with service.

Fuck Leer!!! Hate mine. Damaged my corner of the bed because it sits over the rails. Already got stress cracks on corners and bubbles on top like the fiberglass cured funny. Snug Top is the Cadalloc of tops I hear.

I had 3 Leers built for my truck btw, and the paint is off on this one and was off on the other 2.
