What circuit did you tap into to get ignition power. I would make sure it gets constant power when the key is on and when the lights are on. I tapped in to the circuit for the wipers if I remember correctly.

I tapped into the blank just right of the 10A taillight fuse, which I now know is only active while the parking lights/headlights are turned on. After trying several configurations including the WIP and IGN fuses and using a second fuse tap (I was thinking the ABS relay and switch might need to be powered separately) I was able to get the killswitch to work, but only when the headlights and taillights were off. Every time I try to connect the power lead for the relay to the main power lead of the switches, it shorts out and all the switches go dark. I thought I had the relay figured out, but apparently not. Where did you hook each of the leads on the relay to?

This is how I have my relay wired for the abs switch. Hopefully you can see the picture and it makes sense. IMAG0993.jpg

I can see the diagram and that definitely clarifies what should be going on at the relay. Thank you! I had all of them correct except for #30, which I was trying to hook up to the fuse tap (+). That could be my problem, but I'll have to wait until tomorrow evening to tear into it again and find out.

Kind like the location and discreet look to this switch. Can be used for this mod too, correct?

That diagram was the missing link, and you sir are my hero. Got it all wired up and all three switches work like a charm!
    Without keys in the ignition:

And with all three switches on (ABS killed):

A very good write up on a much needed mod.
When the wife tells me, "somethings wrong with the truck!"....me, "what`s it doing?"..her.."I, don`t know you`ll have to drive it"...me driving mellow in a fresh layer of 1/4" sleet and 3" of snow, I see no problems...THEN, I drive a little aggressive and understand exactly what she is complaining about!
What a POS this nanny controll system is...yeah, I turned it off and it gives me a few seconds of wheel spin power..from a stop, or making a stop, then the VSC, turns back on again..
Extremely dissapointed this system can`t be disabled for whatever purpose the owner desires.
Four Low Range and Diff. Lock, yes, now that`s more like it.
I am looking for a connector, male/female with 2.5" of wire in-between so that I can do this mod with ability to remove the jumper and have no signs of molestation. (no offense intended) 65K miles warranty remaining.
An older post, sooo..anyone come up with this yet?

Fantastic much needed mod! I am on my 3rd Tacoma. 2001,2005,2014 and the ABS has always been a huge issue in the snow. I went out today and did some identical stops with the abs activated and bypassed. I notice a dramatically shorter stopping distance with ABS off. IMHO, this is a must do mod if you drive in the snow with any frequency.

You could also just unplug one of the abs sensors. I found that works too

I like your switch! Looks good. Welcome!

No thanks. I'll continue using my ABS disable switch. ;)
