Well with only 1400 miles on my new truck it's time to see what this baby puts down. I have the distinct advantage of being a technician at a performance shop in Baltimore, MD that has two dyno's. Perks of the job I guess but either way will be getting some good base line numbers of what this trucks putting down to the wheels in the next couple days. Will post up the video and results here so stay tuned!

Edit: Jump right to the dyno results

Its good to see some data collected in the real world and not by the manufacturer or people who get paid to say good stuff about cars. and hey, I'm about to hit 5,000 miles on my truck and I feel like its doing better than it did at 1400 miles... And hey, Maybe you can do another dyno run after you put more miles on it. Just to see if it really improves or its just the owners getting comfortable with their truck.

Agreed, yes it will be interesting to see if it gets better as things loosen up a little with more miles. I've been logging fuel mileage and tracking that so this will be a great base line as I start to add mods and make improvements. My goal starting very soon will be to start modding the truck to try to add hp/tq while increasing fuel mileage. Will be trial and error but this base line info will be very valuable to have no matter what. The Dyno's here are Dynapacks which are one of the most reliable and repeatable dynos we have seen. They are a bit of a heart-breaker though usually because they have the lowest correction factor I'm aware of for a dyno. It is what it is though.

I very much would like to see a dynanometer chart for the new 6 cylinder motor.

Thanks for commiting to do this.

Finally! Been hoping someone would do this. @Redbusket , any chance you have results from a stock 2nd Gen or can get a buddy with one in there so we have some apples-to-apples comparison data aross the gens? That would be excellent. You know, for science.

Apples to apples isn't comparing 2 entirely different engines.

    Science, and all that.

Would be better if he actually did the test and posted it, instead of building suspense.

Awesome! Could you please do back-to-back runs with ECT on and off? I'm assuming you'd lock it in 2nd or 3rd gear anyway, but I would like some proof that ECT only modifies transmission shift points.
