I have the five speed manual and there is a cut into the seat. Is this the right length. It looks nice.

to relieve some of my bench seat woes i made an armrest out of foam and some grey covering material, it is not mounted at all and easily gets squeezed behind the seat if i don't want it there. next i added a couple washers under the front bolts for the lean angle, this helped a lot. lastly i added some extra foam on the drivers side of the bench, this made a big difference. in the end its still not great but its a lot better than without the changes.

Did you get more than one setting (seat angles) when you modded the seat? IF so do you think that this is due to the fact that there is an internal mechinism that stops the seat at different angles?

Thanks for the great post by the way.

I have an 07 double cab Tacoma and I'm willing to trade my two bucket seats and center console for a bench seat. Let me know if you're interested.

You'll trade your center console as well?

I haven't heard back from the previous guy i've been chatting with. So, i'm still interested in swapping.

Just curious, why would you want the bench seat? I want the bucket seats for style and functionality myself.

Id like the ability to have 3 people ride with me and I have a jack Russell that would love the middle seat. And I tried to sleep in my reg cab with the buckets on a hunting trip......not fun. Where are you located ?

Guys, if your swap doesn't work out I'm interested. I've got the bench seat for a manual transmission Tacoma.

I've got a bench seat 5-speed reg cab that I'd love to swap for buckets, if there's still anyone looking. Grey cloth. Excellent condition.

He didn't end up wanting to swap seats because the bench doesn't have any adjustments. Just so you know.
