Not today, yesterday: drove it up to Boston

Today, drove back down and hit 25k. Bought it brand new in October of 2013

 

wish I had that, bought mine in July 2014 brand new and am at 36K

Not really heavy foot just mostly city driving.

 

there is a big difference between city and hwy. My city was 16-17 and my hwy was 20-22

 

My avg is 17.. I drive to dallas and back and it really didn't change

 

Put new wiper blades on her yesterday. Big impressive stuff right?

I hooked mine up to the automatic shifter LED light, and they come on with my lights.

 

Got rid of the ugly protective film on the rear flares and gave it a bath since it was nice and sunny today.

 

How did you get them off #1, #2 do you think you are susceptible to paint damage in those areas now that they are off?
I don't like those clearbra type films. Over time they look horrible. I was thinking maybe to get them taken off and put bedliner where they were.

 

A really hot blow dryer, lots of goo gone, and a 3m decal eraser for the gunk left over. Still need to polish the areas to finish it off. I'm not concerned at the moment but if I ever take the mud flaps off and put on wider tires I may have to do something. A paint matched spray on bed liner might work nicely there.

 

Think being my truck is far newer mine will need as much effort?

 

Is goo gone good for the clear or paint? Haven't ever tried

I also removed the protective films, as they'd started to hold grime and looked awful. Didn't use anything... just pulled them right off. I went slow and maybe got lucky, but had 0 residue all around. It did need some cleaning as it was perfect new paint underneath and a bit dirty surrounding.

Also, have used goo-gone when removing badges and Ive never had a problem, but I usually use goo-gone followed with windex to remove any extra and get that streak free shine =]

 

Got a load of firewood before the snow comes.
