My rear shocks are 15.9 col, 26.8 extended and they are perfect for my AllPro standard leaf pack with super bumps. No shackle flip.

I ordered mine on black Friday and they still aren't here. I'm planning on leaving the leaf pack as is and seeing how it works. I'll do my adjustments as needed after I drive around for a while and see what I need to do

Thanks bud. After all that careful cutting, I accidentally drilled a 1/8" little hole through one of my flares when I was riveting my fender liners.:anonymous:

Yup, I was pretty upset. I have come to peace with that little hole now though.

Bringing this up again I think I have determined why coil bind is possible despite the math above (which is completely correct and accurate not trying to argue that).

The numbers above assume that the when the shock is full extended and no "preload" is applied using the collar adjustments on the threaded body of the coilover that the coil is also fully extended to the length of 14".

While technically "0" preload would be defined as the coil being under 0 load prior to supporting the weight of the vehicle more often it is referred to as having the minimal threads showing on the body, or having made 0 to minimal adjustments to that collar to compress the spring.

I found however that with 1-2 threads showing on my coilovers when they are off the truck and the shocks are fully extended the coil is already compressed to less than 13". For this reason we have to compress the springs just to get the collar on in most cases. If the springs were extended to the full 14" when 1-2 threads were showing on the body of the shock then the springs could be removed without compressing them.

Based on this info depending on the height of your coil when installed on the coilover (not when it is full extended off the coilover) the number jberry posted could change. In my case I should be able to adjust my preload up to about 1-1.25" before I get into coil bind.

Moral of the story is check your suspension cause every case is going to be different.

I gave you a whole thread on some shock relocation. It doesn't have alot of detailed info but there's still some good I do and pics.
