Shoot this is a hard decision. Anyone have side shots of both bumpers? I'd like to see the difference in the way they stick out.

Pelfreybilt here. Went with aluminum option. Customer service is unreal GOOD and product wreeeks of pride. Build quality and well thought out design is why I'm sneaking their rear bumper onto my truck now! Haha

The one thing that personally makes a difference to me is that the Demello has the drop in the center instead of being perfectly flat. The Pelfrey is perfectly flat all the way across and all I see is a slab of steel. I have been eyeballing the Demello for a while, and they changed the angle where the side meets the wheel well, so if it is an older bumper vs a newer bumper, they can be different.

My 3 Hoop is slated to ship from Demello this week.

A friend has the Pelfrey and wouldn't put anything else on his truck.

:wave:You are right @Night Eagle. Yea, it didn't do any damage to the frame. U can check out the link I posted I believe on page 2? The plate bumpers after impact thread. Scuffed the hoop on the bumper, crushed my headlight and dented my hood. This was the bumper after the impact.. before insurance got me a new one. And was still missing the bottom headlight trim pieces Thanks @VandalTaco

Here's a side shot of the demelloEdit: this was when I was still missing the bottom headlight trim pieces.

Does the weight make it squat in the front at all?

Enough to make it a lot of fun!
I was amazed by how little damage it did to your bumper and truck. Made me really glad I bought Demello.

Ya it did squat the front down a little. I ended up cranking my coil overs up a some. But no matter what you do it will squat. You throwing more weight in front of your front suspension.

Yea it squatted some. I don't have exact measurements though. If your going to add a winch as well, you may want to go with a heavier coil spring, not sure what you are running. I have the OME 887s on mine.

Yea we were surprised as well.. when I got out of the truck, I was expecting the worst.. couldn't believe we were able to drive it home 2 hrs from where the accident happend. Cop gave us the "ok" with only one headlight haha.

I wonder what it would do to the way my truck sits with the 6 inch lift it has on it.

You probably sit pretty level. So I bet you would end up with some rack or a ton. The stock springs are pretty light.

Another recommendation before you put the bumper on get the $30 radiator support bushings?

I had a lot of tapping on my right front fender. This is super easy to install(especially with bumper off) and there is a thread on it.

You sould go with Pelfreybilt. You have the ability to customize your bumper from aluminum to steel, no powder coat, powder coat, colors, no hoops, single hoop or full hoops. You can also customize what lights you want, halogen, HID, LED, Rigid Industries, Baja Designs and Pelfreybilt can supply you with any light or brand you'd like to put in your bumper. Other option is to have the cut out for a 20" led lightbar or not. I contacted Satin about my order and requested to have mine built without the LED bar. The recovery points are also larger which fit D rings better and won't distort on a side pull. I've used my bumper for recovery and there's zero deflection, because of how the bumper mounts up and the support bracket that bolts in where the sway bar mounts. This helps take the stress off the frame horns. The bottom of the bumper lines up better at the bottom covering the part of the frame where the skid plate mounts up, creating a more seamless line with less to hang up on while wheeling. If you're worried about an impact, there are 2 customers of Pelfreybilt, who have had front impacts. One bumper was aluminum which suffered minor to minimal damage. The other was steel and required repainting areas that had paint transfer or scratches. If you plan to do a rear bumper you'll have more uniformity ordering the front Pelfreybilt bumper.

Can't say enough good things about Tyler and Satin Pelfrey and the passion for their company Pelfreybilt Offroad. Tyler and Satin seriously treat you like family. Emailing questions you get same day, usually within hours, a response from Satin or Tyler. If you call they will answer any questions no matter how many, how big or small they are. The first time I met with Tyler and Satin we talked for hours about products and their mission with the company. They are more passionate about manufacturing superior products at a fair price and developing a friend and family relationship with every customer. I've been down to the shop on several occasions and I've been treated to lunch by Tyler and Satin to talk business or to just talk getting to know each other personally and it's great to be friends with Tyler and Satin and to be apart of the growing Pelfreybilt family. Tyler and Satin also love to get out and wheel any chance they get, with their growing Pelfreybilt family, friends and members on Tacomaworld.
