I bought 5" angle iron from lowes. There's a thread on here that someone started.

I believe he is talking about an auto lock. Locks with the main doors.

Not sure if this counts as much of a mod, but I have my bed cleats setup with a simple bungee cord allowing me to run the cord through grocery bag handles and prevent everything from rolling around during the drive home. It is my cost effective way to grab groceries until I bite the bullet and grab the bed extender.

My bad. Forgot to mention it's the automatic tailgate lock I installed that functions with the lock/unlock buttons.

    Question :

Do they make a rubber mat to cover the tailgate? It seems like the bed mat would have the piece to protect the tailgate.

Life hack put a hamper in your truck when you grocery shop. Then when you get home you just carry the hamper in.10088-900x900.jpg

I ended up getting a Cargo Catch for groceries. It works for a lot of things that you don't want moving around in your bed.

I have done the laundry basket also. What I like about the bungee cord is that for the most part it lives under the tonneau cover and I never have to worry about needing it. Also it works great when I need to take the kids along and need to keep the strollers from rolling around the back.

Where did you pick this up? Does it use a pressure mounting system or does it utilize the rail system?

Amazon sells them but I got mine off ebay since it was cheaper. It uses a pressure system where you twist the the bar to tighten though it has a locking system built-in. You can move the pockets around inside to create your own configurations. I like it.
