@Scooter62 Both struts had corrosion issues. Where chrome strut slides back into the metal housing. Became so bad I could barely raise or lower cover without forcing it. Also the "plates" where the cover sits on the bedrails...rusted...as well as the rivited fitting that attaches to the plates. The "D" rings corroded so badly that I was afraid they wouldn't hold the cover on properly. To their credit, they did send new parts (after a little persuading). I know live in a salt air environment...but still.....

my f150 had a truxedo of some sort, had no complaints about that, i got an access vanish on the tacoma, its ok for water tightness, its super low profile though which is one of the main reasons i wanted it, i re sealed the ends and added some extra weather stripping where i knew it would be a water problem

I'm hoping the salt air environment is what your problem with rust is. I'm here in the mid-west with hot and humid, rain, sleet, and snow. I also sent Undercover a email. Be interesting to see what they have to say.

I looked at a SE on a Ford F-150 one day at Walmart. Talked to the guy and he said it was on the truck when he bought it 4 years prior. I never saw any rust on the struts or hardware only dust from the country roads. (He never had a tailgate seal) I think I'll go ahead in March and buy the "Elite" and take a chance.

Fold-A-Cover G4 Elite. Have seen no water in the bed, but, we don't get all that much rain on the Western Slope of Colorado (just snow right now). The Fold-A-Cover also has a locking feature which also "locks" the tailgate which is a nice feature when you have the back-up camera in the tailgate handle. Am quite please with this cover.

That is probably true mounted on a 2014 Tacoma. Problems have risen with trying to mount the BakFlip covers on the 2016 Tacoma.

I never stated all Bakflips are crappy. I just stated I would not buy a Bak tonneau.

I get your sorry, but unless I missed it, you haven't told me why you wouldn't recommend one. Can you elaborate?

Nuf said. I know there are issues on the Revolver rails but The F1, VP, G2, Fibermax and HD are tried and true. New design with the rails allows the original rails and tiedowns to be used. I had a small leak in the front corners but have not installed the drain tubes. I added some foam to the small gap.

    Thank you @Championsumo

While I have you all here, has anyone found a bull bar that will fit the 2016 tacoma's, I cant seem to locate one thats made for this truck.

Second, do you have any seat covers that you recommend, I am looking for some that are form fitting to the seat. All I have seen are universal fitments, or ones that say they "may work". The only ones that seem to be made for this truck so far are Leather, and I am looking for Neoprene or something of that nature.

@Scooter62 Thank you on the seatcovers, I had not seen those. The bull bar however seems to be a general one. As in it doesnt look like it was made for it. The front end of the 16 doesnt look the same as the previous models. Does anyone know if the front attachments are similar on the third gen?
