What have I done today? I killed the truck.

Well, my tint shop killed the truck yesterday.

Went to get the windows and windshield tinted. Apparently it "Happens all the time"....The tech told me the water gets behind the dash when doing the windshield and can make the brain and electronics wig out. Says it's totally normal...Truck won't start. I lost power in the middle of the street.

Happens all the time ? I've been on automotive forums for over a decade and never heard of that happening.

I assume the tint shop is insured and is going to cover the cost of repairs for you.

Thanks to @Andres my horns arrived, very well packaged and great quality build. My Taco now has some Tundra attitude going on. (Emblem was the same size) Wasted no time in getting this on my truck.

    Of course!

I sure as hell hope so. They said "Worse case scenario you'll have to take it to Toyota to clear the check engine light". To which I responded, "No, worst case scenario is YOU have to take it...."

I readon this forum a while back that the 303 brand of protectant was superior to other brands. I was at the auto shop over the weekend and picked up a bottle of the 303 Automotive Protectant. They didn't have the 303 Aerospace, so I decided to try the "regular". I am very happy with the results, the dash and all plastic is shiny without a sticky film. I am going to try the Aerospace once this bottle is done. Huge thumbs up for the advice!:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Any idea what that case / mount is called? It seems like the perfect solution! Would love to track one down.

Saw this on Amazon and it looks awesome. I'm expecting my 16 DCSB in 2 to 3 weeks. I do not plan on putting a Tonneau cover on so I have a silly question. I've never had a bed mat before. Are these made to be used without a cover? Example won't there be mold and mildew under this this if you don't have a cover? Thanks in advance!

Apparently, you missed the point also. This is not an isolated incident with these LEDs doing this to the trucks, and having 700 messages in six months, I would hardly consider myself a troller.

Another question about the license plate frame. Is this the emblem you used? http://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Toyot...F8&qid=1454506613&sr=8-13&keywords=trd+emblem

Do all 3rd gen have a little opening under the windshield rubber seal from the outside? What is the purpose of this hole (on the passenger side)? I am having condensation on the inside of the windshield and going through process of elimination before I take it to the dealership.

I would assume that it's a drainage port and nothing to worry about. They all have them, check from under the hood.
