Hey everyone, I have a 2015 TRD sport and recently installed 5100's set to 1.75" in the front and a 1.5" AAL in the rear.

I've now spent A lot of time researching different combinations on lifts and tire sizes but can't come to terms with what size I should go with. I obviously want the biggest size possible but don't want to deal with much or any rub. I see lots of people run 265 stock with little to no issues But worried it'll be too small on mine especially if I decide to bump up to 2.5" in the future.

    Im going with bfg ko2's in either a 265/70/17 or 275/70/17. Rims are XD 301 8.5", 4.5"bs, -6 offset.

Any experience or advice is much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

-here is my truck as it sits on the stock rims and 265/65/17

I went with the 265's because the 275's cost alot more $$$

Nice truck..... id like it to stay that way and im sure u do too. Id suggest taking off the bug deflector honestly, but I know some ppl really like them soo......make sure u keep an eye on the paint under it. Many owners have had the paint wear off under the contact points. I believe theres spacers of some sort keeping the plastic off the paint, and those have proven ineffective over the yrs.

I'm in the same boat. Not sure what size I'm putting on my Stealth 6 in the spring. The front of my 2015 Sport is leveled and I would like to go with 285-70-17 but I don't think they are going to clear. So I probably will go with 275-70-17. The only issue with them their are not many to choose from in this size.

5100's all around with OME 884 at 0. Weathertechs, Carhartt seat covers. BFG KO2's 265/70/17. T4R SEMA wheels. 18% tint on front windows. General Springs HD 4 leaf pack, Leer 100 XR shell.
275 are E loads right? heavy tire

I went with 265/70 c loads in the KO2's and noticed the difference in ride and power. just whats good for some isnt for others kind of deal

Just put 285's on my Tacoma yesterday and they DO NOT rub. now I have after market wheels, and my alignment has been done the day I lifted it and ran my 265's but I still have a inch of room to the cab mount. I will have to take a inch off the fender flare but that's if I go offroad any at all. The plastic lining on the inside is fine and does not come close. (inch) I highly recommend them

Sounds good, I'm only lifted 2 inches in the front so I don't think they will clear.

This right here. The 265/70R17s in C load are significantly lighter than the 275s in E load. The 265s will ride better, get better mpgs, better braking and acceleration. And the only thing you gain with 275s is .25" ground clearance and greater loss of mpg/ride/braking/acceleration. Not with it IMO.

Here is pics with my truck 2" lift front, 1.5" rear on 265/70R17 KO2s in C-load.

Thanks for all the help. Went with the 265/70/17 in a C load. E load seemed too aggressive and wanted to keep the weight/size down for practicality and fuel economy. Really happy with how it turned out so thanks again:thumbsup:

275/70r17 and they still feel nimble and I've been unable to get them to rub and I've tried pretty hard. Cooper Discoverer AT3'simage.jpgimage.jpg

After having your tires installed, do you think you would of had enough clearance to run the 275s?

It's possible because in reality there's not a huge difference in sizes. But I'm glad I went with 265. 275 would have been tight. Took a couple shots for you at turn to show you what I mean.

The main place a 275 gets closer versus a 265 is between the side wall and the UCA / spindle
