Anybody notice the little icy road warning that flashes at startup and then stays on when the temperature drops. It's next to the outside temp on the HID. Just thought it is kinda cool. image.jpg

I was wondering what that was. It's been on in my Taco almost since I got it, of course temps have barely been above freezing most of the time.

It is a safety warning just letting you know the roads may be icy.

You cannot electronically lock the door when a FOB is inside the truck, so it will not work. You can however mechanically lock the door with a key if the FOB is inside the truck.

This happened to me this morning. Walked out and started the truck, kept fob in my pocket. Came back out to put something in the passenger side, and it was locked (made sense, I hadn't unlocked it...). Grabbed the fob and hit unlock. Nothing. Little light on fob lights up, but won't unlock any passenger door. Had to walk around truck and use the inside unlock button on the door to get the other doors open. Sound right?

Yes. Go into your settings and change the unlock to all 4 doors. VERY helpful.

I believe the FOB is rendered useless when the vehicle is running, so yes, this sounds correct. For guys with remote starters, I think there is a bypass module or something put in that keeps the FOB active with the truck is running

Yeah, I was hoping that wouldn't be the only other option. None of my vehicles unlock all 4 doors on the first press. I prefer, when my wife is out alone, that only the driver's door unlocks. The last thing I want, if she's ever in a bad spot and has to find quick refuge in a car, is for all 4 doors to suddenly be unlocked...

That's how it is on my wife's Prius, but it also has the touch unlock on the passenger door handle. For some reason, they've figured out that the Tacoma only needs the touch lock and FOB sensor on the driver side.

Right. My old Avalon, and her Yukon XL, both have passenger side sensors...

Something weird happened today. Currently im on half a tank of gas, and usually after each re-fill the computer mileage thing resets itself to see how i go on this tank. But this morning it reset itself, and the Trip A and trip B also reset themselves back to 0. Any idea why?

    Yes.

There was a thread here about it around a week or so ago.
