Dang, I was looking forward to ordering a set of stealth mounts this weekend when my tax return came in.
Understandable though, Family is always first. You made an awesome product, I'll be keeping an eye out when you have these available again.

Guess I am one of the lucky ones to get a mount. Sorry to hear of your troubles. Well I just received my stealth mount light bar and installed it today. The only problem I am having is the hex screws that connect the mount to the light bar is not snug. I used the smaller screws too. Am I missing something or was I supposed to use a washer?

I do feel lucky I picked up a stealth mount a few back. I think you are making the right choice though. I also started up a business that took years of long days & weekends etc. While it has paid off I would be lying if I said it didn't come at the expense of lost time with my wife and kid.

If I had to do it over again I would have tried to find a better balance.

You just need to get some lock washers. I would suggest getting a 1/4" lock washer for each side to put between the bolt and the mount. The bolts are generic for the generic mounts that come with the LED, so can bottom out on the inside of the LED housing if they are a tad long. The washer will give you the space you need and add the locking feature!

Appreciate the good words! I know owning a business can be very time consuming but it also gives you a lot of freedom in other ways. Once I finish my obligation with my full time job I will be giving it a go and building family into the business model. We will see how it goes, I know there will be a lot of work to do!

I bought the stealth mount but did not receive my light yet. But looking at the instructions for the mounts it does say about putting lock washers on their I think.

I just want to say that I ordered a set of stealth mounts from Chris, and he went out of his way to get them out to Canada.

A friend of mine, who's an iron worker, spotted them on my work bench and commented that the fab work was excellent. These mounts are just plain stout!

Thanks, Chris, for the great product and service, and I hope to see you up and running again soon with some more great products!

I only have 7 Flush mounts left and then will be sold out. Please let me know if you are interested.

Also I made changes to my site and first post. For the 12+ grill, I am only offering Single Row LEDs for the Flush mounts unless you shoot me a PM and we chat.

Simply put, dual rows can be installed and many have as seen in pictures. But they are for a more moderately skilled person to install and not the average user. I want to make sure people don't get in too deep with a project and that you guys are happy. So that is why I have made the new limitation. Like I said shoot me a PM if you want dual row and I will make sure you understand what you are getting into.

Also, the single row LEDs are great lights. They use 5W LEDs vs the 3W LEDs used in the dual row bars, so they are still very bright and are not much of a compromise. Only bummer is they are spot only so if you wanted flood lighting it will need to come from another spot.

Please shoot me a PM if you have any questions at all!!!

I bought the flush mount from Chris and it really was straight forward. Its basically:

    1) take off the bumper cover (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/05-11-front-bumper-removal.211867/)
    2) remove 6x nuts holding the crash bar in place
    3) slide the mounts over the bolts (so that the mounts are on top of the crash bar)
    4) put the nuts back on
    5) install light onto the mounts
    6) Take the wire harness and connect the black wire to your battery's negative post (I grounded to the chassis instead)
    7) On the wire harness, connect the red wire to your battery's positive post
    8) connect wire harness to the light bar
    9) TEST the light bar. turn the switch on/off a few times to make sure it works
    10) disconnect the red wire from the battery and run your switch into the cab and install your switch (I used a wire hanger to pull the switch cable through the rubber grommet on the drive side of the engine bay)
    11) connect the red power cable to the battery and test your wiring again a few times. You may want to take this time to aim your light bar
    12) STEALTH Mount: put your bumper cover back on and you're done
FLUSH Mount: You will need to cut out a decent amount of the plastic in the lower bumper grill area on the bumper cover. Its easiest to put the bumper cover on a table (with a cloth or towel on it so you dont scratch the paint) and use a dremmel or some other rotary tool with a cutoff wheel. I pretty much just cut center part of the grill out, mocked the bumper back on the truck, figured out how much more I needed to remove, took it back off, cut again, repeat. Its a trial and error process. Once you cut away enough and are happy with how it looks, put the cover back on the truck. Bolt it up and you're good to go.

Those are the basic steps. If you know how to use a wrench, its really easy.

Thank you for posting. I do have one kinda big note. You do NOT need to take off the bumper cover if you don't want to. These are all made to install without taking it off. Some people do because it is easier for them. But it is not a requirement. Stealth ones for sure don't need it. For the Flush it depends on how much trimming you do. You can do like @rob1208 did which is a great way in order to get maximum adjustment, but it does require a lot of patients and finesse. Or others with the Flush mounts have left it installed, and pushed the LED into place. It is less adjustable, but will fit in there with a little "umfffff."

Agreed. For me, I figured if I had to cut stuff (Flush Mount), it was just easier to cut the bumper cover on a table rather than while on the truck. Plus, I clearly under estimated how much I needed to cut out. I kept having to cut out more (preference) and more and I'm still not done. I got it to a point where its "good enough" for now cause my patience was running out. haha.

But yes, this can totally be done with the truck in tact.

This is why I have started limiting the flush mounts to Single Row LEDs for the Flush mounts on the 12+ bumper. Yes the dual rows work and many have done it. But for the average guy, the Single Row will be more than enough light and saves the larger cutting process.
